While I believe wholeheartedly in the power of nourishing our bodies through food, movement, and healthy habits, I know for a fact that our spiritual and emotional well-being is even more important.
I've walked through some incredibly difficult seasons, from watching my mom battle cancer to facing my own serious health challenges, including a spinal infection that left me in tremendous pain.
Those experiences taught me something. Well, they taught me a lot of things, but one of the foundational truths I learned is that you can do everything in your power to take care of your physical body, but there will still be circumstances you simply cannot control.
And in those moments, I've learned just how important it is to lean on God.
To pray when you're afraid.
To trust Him when you don't understand.
To surrender everything to Him.
I can tell you firsthand that some of the greatest peace I've experienced has come during seasons when my circumstances were anything but peaceful.
So if you're doing everything you can to improve your physical health, I want to encourage you not to neglect your spiritual health along the way.
Spend time in the Word. Make time for prayer. Surround yourself with people who strengthen your faith. And remember that you don't have to carry every burden alone.
Because at the end of the day, adding years to your life is important...but so is adding life to your years.

Women are up to 8 TIMES more likely than men to develop thyroid problems.
And what we're learning about thyroid medication should have everyone asking more questions.
According to research highlighted by Yale School of Medicine, as many as 21 MILLION of the approximately 23 million Americans taking levothyroxine may have been prescribed the medication unnecessarily.
Let that sink in.
Millions of Americans could be taking thyroid medication without a clear clinical need for it.
If you're struggling with fatigue, stubborn weight gain, hair loss, brain fog, or other thyroid-related symptoms, I want you to understand what's happening inside your body.
Is it Hashimoto's? An underlying autoimmune condition? A nutritional deficiency? Something else affecting thyroid function?
You deserve answers beyond a single lab result.
That's why I created a completely free thyroid healing masterclass, where I break down common underlying contributors to thyroid dysfunction and the nutrition and lifestyle strategies that can support healthier thyroid function.

The belief that living in chronic stress is just "how it is" is limiting your body's ability to heal, recover, and thrive as it's meant to.
I've spent years studying the habits and herbs that help your body naturally manage stress and move out of a constant fight-or-flight state. These are some of my favorites...
🌿 Ashwagandha is one of my favorite herbs for stress support. It helps reduce perceived stress and cortisol levels and can be truly relaxing to the body.
💊 Magnesium plays an important role in nervous system function, muscle relaxation, and sleep regulation. It's often called "the relaxation mineral". Along with supplementation, I also recommend prioritizing magnesium-rich foods like pumpkin seeds, leafy greens, and almonds.
☀️ Get outside within an hour of waking. Morning sunlight helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which influences cortisol timing, sleep quality, and energy throughout the day.
📱 Stop letting your phone dictate your mornings. Before you check emails, notifications, or the news, give yourself time to be present. I personally love starting my mornings in prayer and spending time in God's Word.
📅 Build actual margin into your schedule. One of the most overlooked stress-management strategies is simply committing to LESS. Stop scheduling every hour of your day. Give yourself space to think, rest, and recover.
🤝 Address the relationships and responsibilities that are draining you. Sometimes the biggest source of stress isn't something you can fix with a supplement. It might be unresolved conflict, unrealistic expectations, or a lack of healthy boundaries.
Which of these do you feel you need to prioritize most right now?
Cortisol is your stress hormone, and just like every other hormone in your body, it needs balance. Click the link to learn how to restore that balance naturally: bit.ly/4rJxIK8

We've spent decades talking about women's fertility...but what about men?
A 2024 study published in Toxicological Sciences found microplastics in 100% of the 23 human testicles examined.
EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
A major analysis published in Human Reproduction Update found that average sperm concentration declined by approximately 51.6% worldwide between 1973 and 2018.
These findings should be a wake-up call.
For far too long, when couples struggle to conceive, the conversation has centered almost entirely on the woman's reproductive health.
But male fertility matters just as much, and we need to start treating it that way.
The good news is that there are practical steps men can take to support their reproductive health.
➡️ Prioritize antioxidant-rich foods like berries, leafy greens, and colorful vegetables
➡️ Get regular exercise and maintain a healthy body composition
➡️ Aim for 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night
➡️ Avoid smoking, limit alcohol, and reduce unnecessary exposure to environmental contaminants
➡️ Avoid hot tubs
➡️ Don't keep your phone in your front pocket (EMF radiation)
And one of the most important things I recommend? Stop guessing about your health.
If you're planning to start a family or struggling to conceive, it's worth taking a closer look at what's happening inside your body.

These are some of the most important markers for you to understand when it comes to understanding your symptoms.
95% of my students have experienced weight loss, 92% felt increased energy, and 90% reduced CHRONIC symptoms. Their starting place was bloodwork.
The key isn't ordering every test imaginable. It's knowing which markers are worth investigating based on your symptoms, age, and health history.
My recommended at-home bloodwork panel includes these 5 markers, along with additional biomarkers that can provide a more complete picture of your health.
And it comes with a 60-minute consultation to review your results, discuss your health concerns, and explore next steps.

What can we learn from some of the world's longest-living populations about reducing our risk of cancer?
Research shows that dietary patterns rich in vegetables, fruits, and other whole plant foods can help reduce the risk of certain cancers. It's a reminder that the small choices we make every day can have a profound impact on our long-term health.
But here's something else I want you to understand...
Your health is about more than what you're eating. Your health history, current symptoms, and individual needs matter, too.
That's why I'm such a big believer in taking a deeper, personalized look at your health rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

We've been conditioned to believe that cortisol is the enemy...but the truth is that we need cortisol to function properly.
Cortisol plays an essential role in regulating your energy, metabolism, blood sugar, inflammation, and so much more. So the problem isn't cortisol itself. It's when your cortisol levels become dysregulated, whether that's chronically elevated levels or a disrupted daily rhythm.
Focus on the daily habits I share in my video to start bringing cortisol back into balance.
And remember that cortisol is just one piece of the hormonal puzzle.
I put together a free hormone masterclass where I break down how your hormones work together, what can disrupt them, and practical strategies to support better hormonal health.

One of the simplest ways to support your thyroid starts with your meals.

Insulin resistance is one of the most overlooked drivers of stubborn weight gain, fatigue, sugar cravings, and blood sugar imbalances. The good news is that there are simple, science-backed ways to improve how your body responds to insulin.
Here are a few of my favorites...
🥦 Eat vegetables BEFORE carbohydrates. Research suggests that eating fiber-rich vegetables before carbs can help slow glucose absorption and reduce post-meal blood sugar spikes.
🚶 Walk for 10–15 minutes after meals. Your muscles use glucose for energy, and even a short walk after eating can help lower blood sugar without requiring additional insulin.
🫐 Choose fiber-rich carbohydrates. Blueberries, apples, pomegranates, sweet potatoes, and squash provide fiber and nutrients that support metabolic health. You don't have to eliminate carbohydrates to improve insulin resistance!
🌿 Add blood sugar-supporting herbs. Berberine has shown promising results for improving fasting glucose and HbA1c in clinical studies, while mulberry leaf can help reduce post-meal glucose spikes by slowing carbohydrate digestion.
🧂 Add Ceylon cinnamon to your meals. Cinnamon can improve fasting blood sugar and insulin sensitivity. It's an easy addition to oatmeal, smoothies, or yogurt.
And don't underestimate the importance of quality sleep, adequate protein, healthy fats, and managing chronic stress.
The bottom line is that insulin resistance doesn't have to be permanent. With the right lifestyle changes, many people can significantly improve their insulin sensitivity, and even heal prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.
If you're struggling with stubborn weight gain, blood sugar spikes, insulin resistance, or prediabetes, I want to help you understand what's happening inside your body and what you can do about it.

My mom was once told she'd have to live with hypothyroidism for the rest of her life.
Today, she's thriving in her 70s, playing with her grandkids, staying active, and enjoying a life she once thought might be impossible. She healed all-naturally.
And I'm incredibly grateful to God for that.
What we knew when we said no to conventional medication, is that these medications fail to heal the root cause. They mask your symptoms at the very best. But they also deplete your body of the very nutrients it needs to heal.
For my mom, we knew there was more we could do than simply manage her symptoms.
We started looking deeper at the factors affecting her health, including nutrition, inflammation, stress, and the nutrients her body needed to function.
Her transformation is one of the biggest reasons I'm so passionate about helping others understand their thyroid health.
Because I don't want anyone believing their only option is to accept feeling exhausted, gaining weight, losing their hair, or struggling through every day without asking WHY.
That's exactly why I created a completely FREE thyroid healing class.
Inside, I break down common underlying contributors to thyroid dysfunction, the nutrients your thyroid depends on, and practical steps you can take to support your thyroid naturally alongside appropriate medical care.
My mom's story is a reminder of what's possible when you take a more comprehensive approach to your health.

This might be one of the hottest takes I've heard from Jordan Rubin to date...
For decades, cholesterol has been made out to be the villain. We've been told to get it as low as possible. That lower is always better. And that cholesterol is something our bodies would be better off without.
But your body NEEDS cholesterol.
In our latest episode of The Dr. Josh Axe Show, Jordan Rubin challenges the conventional narrative around cholesterol and explains why he believes we've overlooked its importance for overall health.
At The Health Institute, we look beyond whether your results are simply marked "normal" or "abnormal." We consider important biomarkers alongside your symptoms, health history, and overall metabolic health to help you better understand your results and identify your next steps.
Because the goal isn't just to chase a number. It's to understand what that number means for YOUR health.
