Unexpected delights from @StackOverflow - the first comment on this answer - stackoverflow.com/a/2466914/… "To anyone who is reading this in the future and is puzzled as to why the answer has nothing to do with the question: some moderator decided..."

I heard it as "Andy giveth and Bill taketh away". Andy as in Andy Grove the then-CEO of Intel and Bill as in Bill Gates the then-CEO of Microsoft.
I'm not sure I 100% agree but this and the thread it creates are in places entertaining
C is Latin, the root of all modern languages, the whole universe used to speak it.
C++ is French, it’s Latin with fancy rules, used by the elite around the world & in specific circles.
JavaScript is English, everybody speaks it, most speakers speak it poorly and others don’t bother learning another language.
Java is German, it’s verbose, over-complicated and it made me cry several times. I won’t elaborate.
Python is Esperanto, it was created to be so easy everyone could speak it. Its speakers could benefit from a shower once in a while.
Rust is Russian, most speakers have an authoritarian left background and want to spread it worldwide.
"Read the docs"? Sometimes that's not enough! In this case following neo4j.com/docs/cypher-manual… led to duplicate @Neo4j nodes - if only that article linked to neo4j.com/developer/kb/under… ("For further details see..."!) then I would have understood what was happening and why much sooner
On addition to with KNIME nodes, I've now added a new moth species to the VC29 list. For those not familiar with UK biological recording, VC numbers refer to Watsonian Vice Counties, which broadly follows historic county boundaries...
24-Jun-2024 @DrKnimeNode was just about to head into his office for a meeting when he spotted a small dark moth fluttering around the door and potted it. Diplodoma laichartingella - NEW FOR VC29! /15...
...with some of the bigger ones split to make them more evenly sized. Unlike local government county boundaries, these remain unchanging and so allow comparison over many years. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vice-c… for more details
A minor bug-fix to our community contribution went live earlier this week in version 1.36.7 - see forum.knime.com/t/update-to-… for details
You can read more about this in nitter.cf/CadiliD/status/1736685…
Thanks @knime (and for the shorts @DMR_Rosaria!) The irony of this was not lost on my kids when it arrived earlier in the week! #KNIMESummit2024
We have updated the Vernalis @knime community contribution to version 1.36.6. This version adds new features to the Collection Size node - see forum.knime.com/t/update-to-… for details

No doubt we'll be picking up the drinks bill..
Rishi Sunak invites Tory MPs for drinks during the Rwanda vote...
This is beyond the Mad Hatter's Tea Party now.
Every penny going to this illegal and pointless Rwanda scheme is a penny not going to people who need the money
🚨 NEW: Tory MPs have been invited for drinks at Rishi Sunak's office ahead of the Rwanda votes tonight that could last until 1am

Well, somehow I have used KNIME for something in the region of 14 years, and only tonight at #KNIMESummit2024 did I discover the Tess4j OCR node (hub.knime.com/bioml-konstanz…), thanks to a talk on Electricity Grid optimisation by ElectraNet/Forest Grove
Another Column Expressions node with another new language - the old one was inpenetrable, but with so many scripting snippets, manipulators etc I was never sure we needed it and never used it! #KNIMESummit2024
Enjoying the 80s retro music mix during the coffee break at #KNIMESummit2024 - I brought my mug!
