Under the guidance of Ms. Gitika Pandey, General Manager, Eastern Railway, Eastern Railway Vigilance organised a seminar at B.R. Singh Hospital, Kolkata, on 29 October 2026, as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, under the theme “Probity for Prosperity.” Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD), Eastern Railway, attended the seminar along with senior doctors, paramedical personnel, nursing staff and other hospital staff. Shri Deepak Nigam, Senior Deputy General Manager (SDGM), Eastern Railway, along with the Eastern Railway Vigilance team, delivered lectures and presented case studies highlighting vigilance-related issues in railway medical administration. The sessions focused on preventive vigilance, adherence to established rules and procedures, ethical decision-making and the importance of transparency and accountability in official responsibilities. Through practical case studies and interactive discussions, the programme reinforced the importance of identifying procedural shortcomings, preventing irregularities and ensuring responsible utilisation of resources in railway healthcare services.
