‘28 @dsmooth211 is a 6’6 CG out of Illinois that is worth checking out. Slasher who brings crafty takes funded by strong handles and bursts of speed. Uses his wingspan to his advantage to shoot over defenders and finish off the glass. @HaliburtonAAU | @PRO16League

2028 6’5” G/W Dereon Smothers is all over the place early for Team Hailburton 16U. Finishing in transition, shooting from the perimeter, crashing the O glass, making the right read off penetration, rebounding and passing ahead. Very impressive first 8 minutes. @PRO16League @dsmooth211 @HaliburtonAAU @NEXTGENPROSP @mosesk225 @GradyMajors

Player of the Game Dereon Smothers | 6’5” 180 | G/W | 2028 | Team Hailburton 16U PRO16 | Phoenix Prep (AZ) | 21 points in a standout performance against Chapman Academy. High IQ three-level scorer. Good perimeter shooter. Used his bounce to crash the offensive glass. Made good reads when penetrating. Effective using the long advance pass off rebounds for easy transition points. Willing defender who can play with active hands generating steals. Confident, smooth all around game. Very impressed with Smothers. @PRO16League @dsmooth211 @HaliburtonAAU @NEXTGENPROSP @mosesk225 @RossVDG14 @GradyMajors
