🟠 Claude Duet Tip 4:
You don't need a channel for everything in Claude Duet.
The main chat knows what's happening across all your channels. It can sort what you drop in into the right one.
Give something its own channel when it's a lasting part of your work or a short project.
🟠 Claude Duet Tip 3:
Don't make 10 Claude Duet channels on Day 1.
@rileybrown made about 10 but only kept 3.
Start with one for the thing you most want off your plate. Add more only when something keeps coming up.

Most people will try a proactive AI agent once, give it a vague job, and decide it isn't useful.
The tool usually isn't the problem. The brief is.

I turned @JJEnglert's @claudeai Duet setup into 4 channels you can copy:
> To-dos: checks your calendar, Slack and email 3x/day
> Meetings: prep before, action items after, Friday retro
> Goals: a Monday check on how you're pacing
> Coaching: end-of-day feedback on how you did
I rewrote each purpose so every channel stays in its own lane, one job each.
All 4 are free on @duetdirectory 👇
Never miss a task again: give your to-do list its own Claude Duet channel.
> checks your calendar, Slack and email 3x a day
> adds what you need to do to a weekly board
> marks each task "you" or "Duet"
> never marks anything done without your yes
Based on @JJEnglert's setup. Full purpose to copy:

Job hunting? Give it a Claude Duet channel:
"This channel will serve the purpose of securing a remote infrastructure engineering role at a high growth startup by end of year.
Opportunities at the AI labs based in SF/NYC I am open to but are weighted less."
One goal. One date.

Give your inbox its own Claude Duet channel:
"You run the email lane, you only focus on my emails. You find valuable information in the emails and note take them, you find trash and noise and then ask me BEFORE deletion."
One channel, one job.

Setting up an AI agent for your inbox?
Start with this purpose from @ItsMeTrueG's Claude Duet email channel:
> one job: only your emails
> note what's valuable
> flag the trash and noise
> ask you BEFORE deleting anything

Most people only think about Step 1 of a Claude Duet channel:
The purpose box.
Here’s the whole day of a good one, from setup to end of day (plus the 5 places it usually goes wrong and how to fix each):

The hardest part of every new AI agent is the blank text box.
In Claude Duet, it's one question:
What should Claude know about this channel?
Most people type one vague line, then wonder why it drifts.
AI apps used to wait for you to open a chat.
Duet by @claudeai texts you first.
Every morning, it sends a short brief on what moved and what needs your attention.
Strange feeling, having software come to you.

I can't believe I didn't do this earlier.
Finally cleaned up the @duetdirectory homepage.
Before:
> long intro, tip box, two search fields, categories on two lines
After:
> one headline, one search, one button, categories on one row
Same 33 Claude Duet use cases, easier to find.
I switched the default to Table view on @duetdirectory.
Makes it much easier to read at first glance, especially if first-time users want to quickly scroll and find a specific use case.
What do you think?

What do you think?
On the @duetdirectory homepage, you can now switch between Card and Table view.
Card view is best for browsing and reading each setup, with the channel purpose right there to copy.
Table view is best for comparing lots of use cases at once, by apps, category and source.
Which one would you use?

🟠 Claude Duet Tip 2:
Every Claude Duet channel purpose that works has 3 things:
1/ One job
2/ What done looks like
3/ A "do not XYZ without my yes" line
That's it. It doesn't need to be long.
🟠 Claude Duet Tip 1:
The most useful advice I've gotten for a @claudeai Duet channel purpose came from @ItsMeTrueG:
"You run the email lane, you only focus on my emails."
One channel, one job. Channels that try to do everything drift.

Working on @duetdirectory is the most excited I've been about a project in a long time.
The amount of value it will give @claudeai users is unquantifiable.
I have a feeling the internet will break when @AnthropicAI releases Duet access to everyone.
