Veronica was pursuing a teacher training course in Kensington. After a few years of dating — they married on January 18th, 1975. Veronica was already pregnant at the time of the wedding. Queen was rising. World tours were starting. Bohemian Rhapsody was coming. A friend who knew Veronica well said — "She didn't wear any makeup and wore fairly plain clothes. She is a lovely person, completely unpretentious. I've got the impression down the years that their children are the most important things to her."
