ILA-NG PRESIDENT COMMENDS ILA-ABUAD ON SUCCESSFUL INTERNATIONAL LAW SEMINAR, ENCOURAGES YOUNG MEMBERS TO UNLOCK NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN MULTILATERALISM AND INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMACY President of the @Nigeria_ila, Prof. @dsolawuyi was a special guest of honour at the inaugural event of @ILAABUADCHAPTER, an international law seminar held at @abuad_uni, and co-organized by ILA-ABUAD and the ABUAD Law Students' Society. Themed "Beyond Boundaries: Ideas, Innovations and Leadership for Changing World," the event was declared open by ILA ABUAD President, Sharon Osho,AcArb., and had in attendance high-level guest speakers, including the Provost of the College of Law ABUAD Prof. Ifeoluwa Olubiyi MCArb, AICMC, Professor @ifebamidele, of the College of Law ABUAD, and the immediate past President of ILA-ABUAD, Mr. Temiloluwa David Agunbiade, ACArb. Speaking during an interactive fire side chat moderated by the Chapter President, Sharon Osho,AcArb., Prof. Damilola S. Olawuyi, SAN, FCIArb urged students to fully embrace the opportunities that international law and diplomacy provides, noting that diplomacy is for everyone, including students in international relations, law, medicine, science, engineering, arts and other disciplines. He noted that in an era of weakening multilateralism, climate change, artificial intelligence, global crises and instability, students could unlock new global opportunities by leveraging their research and advocacy efforts to unearth innovative solutions that advance technological innovation, peace, security, sustainable development, multilateralism and respect for the rule of law. While commending ILA ABUAD for such a milestone and well-organized event that brought together students from other disciplines, the Learned Silk, who is also Independent Expert of the @WGBizHRs, noted that through our scholarships, conference sponsorships and competitions, ILA Nigeria stands ready to support young members to find their voice, and unlock new opportunities, in international law. #internationallaw #youth #youngleadership #students @ILA_official
