'CHINESE SPY EXPOSED IN PH'
A Chinese intelligence operative working under diplomatic cover was detected by Philippine counterintelligence forces in 2024 and subsequently pulled out of the country by Beijing, according to former National Security Council official Jonathan Malaya.
Malaya also revealed that more than 20 Filipinos suspected of spying for China were monitored during his tenure at the NSC.

My staff forwarded this photo of President Lula da Silva handing over a “Leila Livre” (Free Leila) message which he signed during his visit to Geneva in 2020, where he met with leaders of global unions, including the Building and Wood Workers’ International (BWI), led by its General Secretary, Ambet Yuson. This was during the time I was unjustly detained under the Duterte regime.
Even thousands of miles away, we had allies who stood with us in the fight against injustice. Proof that great leaders like Pres. Lula can make people feel less alone in the fight for human rights and human dignity, reminding us that standing up against oppression and human rights violations knows no borders.
