Background: President Gerald Ford had showed up to watch the Texas-OU game at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, 1976. This was after Darrell Royal had accused the Sooners of spying on his practices. Royal didn't want to be anywhere with Barry Switzer, but when the President of the United States shows up, you do what you have to do to make nice. As you can see, Royal doesn't look too happy in the photo.
