I have a feeling Palworld is going to be a monster hit that addicts millions of players and consumes many lives, but will somehow be less important in the gaming world than 12 hour interactive single player movie games.
Gave Kernel Hearts 10 minutes of my time. Not a horrible idea - I mean it's a mash-up of other games, but it's horribly executed. 4/10.
I'm going to go back and finish Death Stranding finally. It's great but when I play a game I need to go all in, and that's a tough one because there's so much you can do in it. I want to build every road - and no one's helping!
Sony are pretty vile to cancel Physint, especially after Kojima saved the PS3 with the MGS4 release. That was the first game that had any impact on PS3 sales and it started Sony's turnaround.
Kojima has said it's up to Xbox on whether Physint is exclusive or not. This game is probably 5 years away, so I would guess that Asha/Xbox will start to figure that out much farther down the road. No reason to really speculate right now.
I've interviewed for many jobs and I know a lot of people that work in gaming. I can tell you that all of these companies are pro AI. They won't say it publicly. but they don't want you if you're against AI. They also don't want gamers to know this is their stance.
Physint will NOT be built for current gen hardware. Kojima is using film actors so that he can put lifelike recognizable versions as models into the game and make you think you're watching a movie when it's realtime gameplay.

Kojima, Japan would be disappointed in you. You abandoned your own principles and values in favor of a western ideology that has displaced men and the reason why Japan has a high suicide rate because women no longer settling and having record setting jobs. You accept homosexuality and transgenderism and hire Progressive actresses and actors that want to see Japan's culture burn to the ground so that they can raise secularism's flag. Your games suck now, and you haven't been relevant since Metal Gear Solid. Now you are employing a transgender woman who is a biological man, you've reached new heights of depravity. Someone needs to go old school and take the Bash at the Beach clip where Hogan joins the nWo and put Kojima in there joining Xbox.
Xbox is clearly putting the effort into turning Kojima into a celebrity in gaming. He is to all of us already, but casuals don't really know who he is. Xbox wants to change that. This is a smart move. Most casuals cannot name a single game developer.
I don't think we're going to see Physint for a long time, but I also think it's going to be the kind of game where you HAVE to play it. We don't get those kinds of experiences any more. Xbox knows it. That's why they're investing in it.
I'm staying up for the Xbox TGS show. I never do, but if Xbox wants to make a comeback, Japan is as important as anything else. If they're ever going to put in an effort, right now is the time.
Played a little Runescape Dragonwilds last night. Not sure how I feel about it after just a few hours. So far it definitely feels like a step back from playing Grounded 2 and Valheim, but we'll see.
Sweet Baby Inc is the greatest scam in gaming. I wish I had thought of it. Sure, I'd hate myself, but I think the money would help me get over it.
