If the first part of my story reminds you of your situation and you don't know what to do, send me a message. I have nothing to sell, but I'll help you if I can.

I don't really do much EAL anymore. Perhaps unfollow me if you're here for that. Perhaps I'll rebrand this page one day. I just noticed it's been a hell of a year and I wanted to tell the story in the hope it helps someone else.

"A mindset, not a theoretical framework" Jim Cummins speaking on schools providing language rich, language positive environments. In my experience, this holds true. There is no quick fix and no magic solution when teaching English.

Educators get frustrated when their actions appear to be ineffective. Not every achievement in learning looks significant in terms of quantifiable data, but it is so encouraging to have the data backing what you know is true.

Keep it simple: if you take action, you can learn. If you learn, you make progress. You only stop making progress when you stop taking action.
