never totally disregard an idea as a flop, sometimes it rlly just needs a minute to cook
5 days and then a random pop off, always trust the strategy
update: finally reached a human (it took a tweet with 15k views)
discord’s official answer after wrongfully locking me out is that I should just ‘create a new account’
I have no backup codes, so
a decade-old account, years of important contacts is just gone, and the fix they offer is ‘start over’
man.
this hit me, caused a 2fa lockout, and now I can’t access my decade-old discord account.
Lost a HUGE amount of business contacts overnight - still paying nitro for an account I can’t even access, and can’t get a human to look at my situation.
discord is quite frankly a joke, especially for a company of its size. zero actual support and a bug can disable your entire account. does anyone even work there?

This weekend, our safety systems incorrectly triggered and banned around 200 accounts. Everyone affected has been reinstated.
Here's what happened. A thread 🧵
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Users report remaining suspended for child safety violations despite Discord's claim all affected accounts were reinstated. x.com/greenbriar123/…
