"Today, we are announcing charges against five defendants and the seizure of more than $750,000 in cryptocurrency tied to this scheme, and laundered through a network associated with Kenyan nationals... Whether you’re in Nebraska, New Jersey, Virginia, or Nairobi, we will pursue you and bring you to justice. The American people deserve better than ghost students, fake applications, and stolen aid."

🔴 ** @kayikwambaT
THÉRÈSE KAYIKWAMBA, STOP DOWNPLAYING THE SERIOUS CRIMES COMMITTED BY THE FDLR! RWANDANS AND CONGOLESE TUTSIS CONTINUE TO PAY THE PRICE OF GENOCIDAL IDEOLOGY!**
Thérèse Kayikwamba, I want to remind you that downplaying the FDLR’s atrocities means downplaying the suffering of victims and their families. The FDLR is a group whose origins lie among those who perpetrated the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, and its leaders must be held accountable for their role in the crimes they committed and those that continue to be committed against civilians.
Today, the FDLR is accused of continuing to participate in acts of violence and activities that threaten Rwanda’s security, while Congolese Tutsi civilians continue to face abuse, killings, and persecution. Such acts must not be treated as normal, and no leader should downplay them.
What is even more disturbing is that DRC officials travel to different parts of the world promoting the FDLR’s activities and portraying it as innocent, while the group continues to receive support and resources that enable it to pursue its activities instead of being outlawed and decisively confronted. There are also serious allegations that the FDLR has been granted a place and authority within various institutions, including security structures, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, extending even to institutions responsible for protecting the President.
**Madam Kayikwamba, stop making excuses for the FDLR or downplaying the seriousness of its actions!** The Tutsis killed in Rwanda, as well as those who continue to be killed and hunted in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, have a right to justice, security, and human dignity.
If you genuinely want lasting peace in the Great Lakes region, stop the policy of protecting or supporting armed groups with a history of violence and genocidal ideology. The FDLR must be deprived of the capacity to continue its activities, and all its members suspected of crimes must be brought before justice.
Meanwhile, the mediator who should be neutral has taken sides, giving legitimacy to the harmful actions of Tshisekedi’s government. This is why General Sylvain Ekenge, who openly made statements expressing hatred toward the Tutsi, was reinstated to his military position instead of being punished. He could continue spreading genocidal ideology on behalf of the FDLR he represents, to the point that today almost all soldiers of Tutsi origin serving in the FARDC live in fear. Those who are not killed are arrested or disappear without a trace.
Tshisekedi can do whatever he wants because he is supported by President Trump alone. However, those who launched the struggle to defend Congolese people who are being killed will not stop, no matter how much the United States continues to treat them unjustly, because America will not love them anyway.
**Peace cannot be built by remaining silent about crimes, downplaying killings, or protecting those suspected of involvement in them. Yet the DRC government continues to portray the FDLR as innocent.**

Mr. Nagy, a threat, perceived or real, is not equivalent to thousands killed and millions displaced. When you served in government, would you have equated fear of an attack in a dark alley with decades of violence, rape and forced displacement? “Sanction both sides” erases that distinction—and suggests Congolese lives count for less. They do not.

Sanctioning Rwanda will never save #Tshisekedi on matters accountability.
The DRC faces a multitude of crises, ranging from governance failures and economic hardship to endemic corruption and persistent instability stemming from Tshisekedi's incompetence to govern and his disregard for the underlying issues driving these problems.
Yes, Rwanda can be sanctioned for politically-motivated grounds, but #DRC will still grapple with insecurity due to failure to address the root causes.

And here comes the Expert in all things...
instead of explaining the impact of sanction, the phrase "Funga Mkanda, tight your belt" is repeating in his argument..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Zigama CSS actually doesn't have a SWIFT code and not part of SWIFT. It's a cooperative bank for security organs, not a mainstream commercial bank..
@SamuelBaker_B
Back in 2025, as sanctions mounted, Kagame told Rwandans to "funga mkanda," to tighten their belts. This May, he admitted the US sanctions "hurt, absolutely." His regime knows who pays.
In the short term, the pain starts at the edges: foreign banks backing away, international transfers getting harder, and military purchases becoming slower and more expensive.
Over time, that cost spreads. Workarounds are paid from the same budget that funds schools and hospitals. Companies linked to the security establishment may lose foreign partners and contracts. If investors start treating Rwanda as risky, pressure on the franc could eventually reach prices.
Citizens are asked to tighten their belts so the war in Congo can go on. How much they end up paying depends on one decision by Kagame's regime: whether to keep backing M23.

In 2008, then-FDLR spokesperson Col. Edmond Ngarambe, whose real name is Michel Habimana, told a British journalist of The Guardian
“The children born here are FDLR,” he said. “The children born in Rwanda will be FDLR. My children will be FDLR.”
theguardian.com/world/2008/m…
That was in 2008. He had three children, the eldest of whom was eight at the time and would now be 27.
Col. Edmond Ngarambe, who was involved in the horrific torture of former Prime Minister Agathe Uwilingiyimana, is currently serving a prison sentence in Rwanda for his role in the Genocide against the Tutsi. His father was also imprisoned for genocide-related crimes in the early 2000s....
Ngarambe was describing the FDLR’s long-term strategy: passing its genocide ideology and armed struggle from one generation to the next.
Today, FDLR combatants integrated into the FARDC, particularly those serving in its CRAP special battalion, include young men born in the DRC to FDLR combatants.
The FDLR-CRAP members being repatriated to Rwanda are between 19 and 32 years old.
What Ngarambe said in 2008 is current FDLR generation.
