Year two of the @MollyMiller33 era has begun on a high note at Desert Financial Arena on Monday.
Here's some of my takeaways on the Sun Devils' first win of the season.
Go give it a read for @Echo_Buttes

The Sun Devils have show some promise, but more is needed before they can climb the NCHC power rankings

It wasn't pretty, but Randy Bennett is 1-0 as the Sun Devils head coach

When @MollyMiller33 learned that the Sun Devils recorded 51 rebounds (question by @AshtonSharinn18), she shouted in joy, telling reporters, "Thank goodness! Rebounding was our thing."
Story to come soon for @Echo_Buttes

Innocenti was ruled out for the game but Arizona State's defense has picked it up in the second half
Sun Devils up 55-44 with 11:40 left in the game

Emmanuel Innocenti comes off the court to get looked at by medical team. Definitely something to monitor

In the postgame, I asked @averie_lower about how @MollyMiller33 and the coaching staff have helped prepare her for the transition from high school to college throughout the past few months.
She said, "Every practice, they're telling me that I'm such a great shooter. Sometimes the best shooter in the gym, but DB [associate head coach Daniel Barber] sometimes likes to think that he is [the best shooter], but I mean they've given me so much confidence in that. They'll run plays for me every once in a while. I think that also gives me a lot of confidence [heading into the season]."

Paulius Murauskas gets his first points as a Sun Devil and, fittingly, they come off an offensive rebound

Nine minutes in, the Sun Devils very much look like a Randy Bennett team: sticky defense, methodical offense, lots of rebounding
Arizona State up 14-10 with 10:57 in 1H
