It was a little over 2 years ago when I capitulated to crypto being mostly a joke. 2+ years later, here we are, glorifying serial ruggers to extents I couldn't have imagined and repackaging every form of gambling into something easy to fire from the couch. It is what it is-- there is no stopping it. At some point I thought differently but I was wrong. The industry has earned the bad perception it has. You have at least another 2 years until there is a chance of a new administration that would seek to reverse the direction of travel. My way of coping is paying attention to the ≈10 things that actually matter (towards non-sovereign money and modernizing the financial system) and ignoring the 98349237543906782943579 things that don't-- only occasionally crossing over when things get slow to confirm nothing has changed K-shaped crypto market

I don't understand why hackers, whose freedom depends on their ability to transact privately, keep choosing $XMR over ZEC. Don't they know that Zcash has an ETF, is cypherpunk™ , and optional transparency so they can easily sell their coins on KYCd regulated exchanges??

Pound for pound, prediction market apps are in a way stronger place than memecoin slinger apps. Consolidation in the meme space between fomo and pump is being mistaken for an uptrend. In 2024-25, revenue in that same sector was marketably higher, except it was split among 5-10 different TG-bots, apps, and sniper wallets. Memecoins are all but dead statistically. Nearing the end of the euthanasia ride. Speculation onchain is moving to prediction markets and this trend isn’t reversing. Market makers and LPs continue to enter prediction markets and push down the cost of liquidity. That acceleration is happening so consistently that PM liquidity is at the precipice of being commoditized. For context, when we started Trueo, there were perhaps two or three major PM market making firms. Today, every market maker worth their weight in salt is either active or becoming active in prediction markets. The memes to prediction markets trend is one way. Prediction markets are better vessels for gambling and skill based trading. They also enable information discovery and the hedging of irl events. Young disenfranchised degens or professional outcome modellooors or hedgooors, PMs service them all. Memecoins are dying. They are being cargo culted and marketed to us because loud voices on the timeline have material investments in the memecoin complex. Prediction markets are on a long term growth trajectory that isn’t slowing down anytime soon. They support degens, businesses, creators, professionals, and the public. They’re all encompassing vessels for entertainment, speculation, hedging, and information discovery. A different type of beast. Prediction markets super cycle. Don’t fight the trend, be a part of it.

Polymarket’s new sports fees make the product much less competitive Take the World Cup winner market right now The displayed YES prices add up to just 100.4¢, which looks like an extremely efficient book But once you apply the new 5% taker fee, the real cost becomes 104.2¢ And that is before slippage At that point, Polymarket is no longer offering an advantage over a standard bookmaker Prediction markets should win on pricing efficiency. Raising sports fees this aggressively moves Polymarket in the opposite direction @mustafap0ly

loooooool Just look at how one person creates hundreds of accounts to place ghost orders and farm LP And it's even generating accounts right now Why can't they restrict his access to the platform? intel.arkm.com/explorer/addr…
intel.arkm.com/explorer/addr… This motherfucker is actually funding all his thousands of accounts to spam the rewards market. While I can easily checked all dozens of thousands of account that he creates, polymarket does not actively banning all his accounts and there are likely dozens of ppl using this bug. I am highly skeptical that on Monday they can really solve the ghost fill problem. And those lowlifes can easily created huandred of thousands accounts and on Monday they can still use them after the update. If polymarket really wanted to solve the issue, they should at least make sure all accounts created since March (I understand they don’t want to affect legacy wallets) to adopt the new method. All legacy account that does not have at least some trading activity should go through kyc process (that way they don’t affect real user) and all linked account created by same ip address should be autobanned and only can be used after some kinda kyc process. Or I am pretty sure the problem will still persist after Monday

Polymarket is Broken This V2 update is trash. 20x the ghost fills. LP scamers with 50k resting gtc on both sides. Invalid payload orders. Massive fee increases (cheaper to bet on a sports book now somehow). I'm taking a break for a bit and focusing on Kalishi. Ill be back if they fix it, but I don't know when that will happen.

Just now I was debating whether to bond one market then I decide to pull the trigger to clear the book for 50k. I got filled 0 lol. Then I noticed my rewards % on that market changed from 5% to 92%. This is just sad 😢 I really hope that the Monday update poly promised can solve the issue otherwise it seems more and more idiotic to farm as you will get no rewards but real fills only. While cheaters got all rewards and no fills. @shayne_coplan

potentially the biggest earnings reports ever released. the whole world will be looking at hyperliquid for first reactions hyperliquid
It's going to be an eventful day: Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon will all report earnings after the market closes today. That's $12 TRILLION worth of market cap reporting earnings within a 30 minute window. All as the Fed interest rate decision is released at 2 PM ET and US oil prices are surging toward $105/barrel. Buckle up for a huge day ahead.

Well it seems like nothing really changed much. After the upgrade the fake orders are still there and eating most of the rewards, while I should have gotten say 100k rewards yesterday I only got paid like 16k and fake bits might get a total of 2-300k payout. While farming both side with 100k+ orders. This is beyond sad. And diao also had an argument with me sad.

In crypto and defi (ie in honest markets), when a component fails, those closest to the component—whether wildly negligent or innocent victim—suffer the loss, and are burdened with that responsibility. Unequal, but proper. In tradfi and banking (ie in coercively manipulated markets), when a component fails, the entire society is forced under the burden of its resolution. Costs are socialized. Equal, but improper. The former, with time, becomes self-correcting, self-improving, and crucially, retains vitality. The latter, regardless of time, becomes stagnant and soulless, and here everyone can wallow in an equivalent grey. Any man of agency should prefer the former, taking care over that to which he is proximate. It is from this that the virtue of markets emerges.

Charging fees for your own bridge when you are the issuer is insane. CCTP is free.
Introducing the USDC Bridge. A direct way to move USDC crosschain. Built and operated by Circle, USDC Bridge gives you a predictable, transparent way to move USDC between chains: → Native burn-and-mint transfers → Clear fees upfront, with live status and progress → No route selection. No bridge complexity. → Destination gas handled automatically Move USDC. That’s it. bridge.usdc.com
