In the past 4 weeks, AI agents have probed Library Archives Canada, entered an Australian Medicare portal, and filed a fabricated homicide tip with U.S. police. This is a design defect, but it all boils down to CONTEXT! This is what we tackled in my Data Science Law Class

Most AI systems deployed across Africa are designed, owned, and updated abroad, so African govts meet it chiefly as buyers. This makes procurement the decisive lever of AI governance, and the one most overlooked. In my latest paper I propose a framework of Sovereign Procurement.

And as I said, if anyone had any doubts about how empty headed and completely ill-suited to be on any panel with sensible human beings, he ended his verbal diarrhoea on that panel by saying that the way forward is for the police and army to start doing extrajudicial killings. Everyone involved in that charade should be ashamed of themselves. A new low for the Nigerian Bar Association.
See actual lawyers trying to tap into that VDM populism by defending absolute nonsense. VDM has zero business on an NBA panel. March 2024: arrested for cyberbullying and cyberstalking over Nollywood actresses, held nearly two weeks. September 2024: The Falanas sued him for defamation after he refused a court ordered retraction. October 2024: detained by police after a viral video of him wearing a police uniform. March 2025: a magistrate issued a bench warrant against him for alleged criminal defamation after he skipped a court summons. May 2025: five days in EFCC custody over fresh cyberstalking petitions. November 2025: made good on a public threat to slap a comedian, trading punches with him mid flight, prompting a Civil Aviation Authority probe for endangering passenger safety. That's not grassroots advocacy. That's a serial offender who treats court orders as optional and settles disputes with his fists. Platforming him at a speech and prize-giving day of a nursery school would be wrong, let alone an AGC. I expect a walkout. Nothing less.
