🚨 $5 MILLION SETTLEMENT: EEOC and @TheJusticeDept secure major action against Instacart for allegedly discriminating against American workers. The agencies found evidence that Instacart's PERM recruitment practices favored temporary visa holders and created unlawful barriers for U.S. and American workers applying for jobs. Up to $4 million will be available for affected applicants, with an additional $1 million in civil penalties.

What if more of a brand’s retail launch budget went toward helping shoppers discover and try the product? At PLANTVERSE, we’re exploring that question through Fund the Shopper, Not the Slot, an economic scenario model examining how brands allocate resources between retail placement and shopper engagement. We’re inviting contributions from founders, retailers, brokers, distributors, and others with firsthand experience. If you’ve navigated listing costs, promotions, sampling, or the challenge of turning shelf space into sales, your perspective can help make the model more useful. Share your experience here: lnkd.in/gdaH4Dr6 Please pass this along to someone whose experience belongs in the conversation. #CPG #RetailStrategy #FoodAndBeverage

Peace is not simply the absence of war. It depends on the ability of societies to confront disagreement without violence, protect human rights and dignity, and keep dialogue open when tensions rise. Today, conflict, displacement, discrimination, hate speech, backsliding on rights and polarization are fracturing communities and eroding trust. On this #InternationalDayOfPeace, @UNESCO calls for greater investment in the institutions, skills and relationships that allow societies to address tensions before they turn into violence. unesco.org/en/days/peace?hub… #ForThePeople

“Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed…” — Declaration of Independence, 1776. A foundational principle of American self-government: legitimate governmental authority derives from the people.

For the foreseeable future, my work will be focused in Canada and the U.S. And for me, the answer is simple: forward. One thing has become clear—I don’t have to choose between being an executive and being an entrepreneur. I’m open to joining the right larger organization where my experience in strategy, commercialization, retail, partnerships, and growth can create meaningful impact. At the same time, I’m equally energized by rebuilding PLANTVERSE and returning to fractional leadership—helping founders and leadership teams turn ambition into commercial results. Over the past several years, my work has taken me across retailer conversations, trade shows, international markets, distribution networks, emerging brands, and established businesses. That breadth has reinforced what I do best: connect strategy with execution and build the relationships, systems, and commercial pathways that create growth. If you’re building a food, beverage, wellness, or purpose-driven brand and need experienced commercial leadership without immediately adding another full-time executive, I’d welcome the conversation. And if the right corporate leadership opportunity comes along, I’m open to that conversation as well.

Because courage is not the absence of hardship—it is what you built by walking through it and refusing to let it define you. Your faith gives that courage a foundation. When you believe you are being led by the grace of God, bravery becomes less about knowing what will happen and more about trusting that you will be given what you need to face it. And having “been through it all” changes you. You learn that fear can be present without being in charge. You learn that uncertainty is survivable. You learn that you can be tested, hurt, challenged, and still keep moving with conviction. Perhaps the simplest answer is: you are brave because you have learned to walk forward in faith, even when the path has required courage. #wagetheft #concealment #humantrafficking
