🚨TRAGIC: The heartbreaking story of U.S. Marine Sgt. Tyler Ziegel and Renee Kline remains one of the most haunting symbols of the invisible and visible wounds carried by combat veterans returning home from war.
In 2004, while serving in Iraq, 22-year-old Sgt. Ziegel suffered catastrophic injuries when a suicide bomber detonated an IED near his truck. He survived burns over 90% of his body, lost his left arm, fingers, ears, nose, and eyesight in one eye, enduring 19 months of grueling surgeries.
Back home in Illinois, his high school sweetheart Renee stood by him, and in October 2006, the couple married in a ceremony captured in a world-famous, haunting portrait by photographer Nina Berman.
The weight of trauma, intense media scrutiny, and the overwhelming reality of his injuries proved too heavy for the young couple, leading to their divorce a year later.
Tragic hardship continued to follow Ziegel until December 2012, when he tragically passed away at age 30.
His story stands as a devastating reminder of the immense, lifelong sacrifices made by military service members and their families long after the battlefield falls silent. 🇺🇸🎖️🕊️

Finally...
After all this exhaustion, pain, and endless suffering, in the midst of the ongoing war and genocide.
God has blessed me today with the greatest gift of all. ❤️
I have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy, who carries the name of his brother, whom we lost three years ago. A light that has illuminated the darkness, a message of life from God in the midst of death.
Words cannot describe the joy filling my heart. All praise be to God for this precious blessing and His endless mercy, even in the hardest of times.
From the depths of my heart, I thank everyone who stood by my side and cared for me and my family. Your presence was a lifeline for us during our darkest days. You helped save my wife and our newborn son, and I will never forget your kindness and love.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to everyone who shared our pain... and now shares our joy. ❤️

In 1971 Erin Pizzey opened the door of a small damp room in West London to women who had nowhere else to go. She had no funding and no trained staff. All she had was a place where frightened mothers could find shelter.
A young woman appeared at the doorway with two small children. Bruises covered her face and arms. She quietly asked, “Please, I just need somewhere to hide from my husband.” Erin brought her inside.
In Britain during the 1970s violence inside a marriage was often treated as a private family matter. When Erin contacted the police the response was that what happened behind a closed front door was not their concern. She refused to accept that.
News of the little refuge spread. Within weeks forty women and children were sharing just four cramped rooms. By 1974 the authorities enforced a legal limit of thirty-six residents. At the refuge’s busiest point Erin was sheltering 150 women and children at once. She was taken to court over the overcrowding laws. She told reporters, “If I turn a woman away she might not survive the night. My job is to keep people alive.”
In the same year she published *Scream Quietly or the Neighbors Will Hear*. The book helped break the silence around domestic violence and encouraged communities in Australia, Canada and the United States to establish shelters of their own. The organization she founded eventually became part of Refuge, Britain’s largest domestic violence charity.
Erin spent the rest of her life advocating for vulnerable families. She died in October 2025 at the age of eighty-six. When she first opened that damp room she only knew that a frightened woman had come asking for somewhere to hide and that sending her away was not an option.

Heartbreaking news for my sister and her children!💔😭
My sister’s family account has been restricted and suspended, even though they never posted anything that violated the rules.
Their account had over 30,000 followers from around the world.
It was their window to share their voices and suffering. 💔
We are desperately trying to recover the account, but seeing my sister and her children so heartbroken is devastating.
They have lost a lifeline connecting them to thousands of caring hearts. 😭
Please keep my sister and her children in your prayers.
Pray that their account is restored and that they don’t lose their voices or the people who have stood by them. 💔🙏

They told my 19-year-old son to go home and die. I told them no.
He was diagnosed last year with Stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. If you don't know what that is, be grateful. It's a monster.
He is 19. He has his whole life ahead of him. But right now, he’s been in a hospital bed for 17 straight days. The doctors are standing in the hallway, trying to hand me hospice paperwork. They say there is nothing more they can do. They say he doesn't qualify for clinical trials because his platelet counts are too low.
So the system’s answer is to give up.
I will never give up.
He has been on the Joe Tippens protocol for over a year. I have him on every supplement, every tea, and every diet change I can find. I have spent every waking hour reading, researching, and fighting. I am not a doctor, but I am his mother. And a mother’s research never stops.
He is far too young, and he has so much to give this world.
I am writing this because I need help.
If you have been through this, if you have fought aggressive cancers, if you have dealt with low platelets blocking treatment, or if you know of doctors who think outside the box, please tell me.
What did you do when they told you there was nothing left? What else should I be looking at?
We are sitting in this hospital room, and I am refusing to sign the papers. I am asking for a miracle, but I am also asking for information. I will not let him go without a fight.
Please keep my sweet boy in your prayers. And if you have any advice, please share it below.
⚠️ I am sharing our story to ask for help, not medical advice. We are working with his medical team, but I am looking for any additional avenues. Please keep us in your thoughts.
