Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Discovery Day in London this weekend.
It was wonderful to see so many people living with T1D in the same space - laughing, chatting and building genuine connections. Saturday was a real reminder of just how strong our community is! 💪
You all came together and shared your experiences, learned about the latest in T1D technology and research, and had honest conversations about what life with T1D really looks like.
Whether it was your first Discovery Day or you’ve joined us before, it was so lovely to see everyone supporting each other and reminding each other that nobody has to manage type 1 alone. 🤝
A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers and our amazing guest speakers, who helped make the day a success.
And finally, we couldn’t do this without the support of organisations like the Bukhman Foundation. Thank you for supporting our Community Engagement work. 💙

Did you know type 1 diabetes (T1D) can begin developing years before symptoms appear?
T1D actually develops in stages. However, many people aren’t diagnosed until much later, often when they’re already very unwell.
Early detection is changing that, helping identify people at risk sooner and connect them with support earlier. 💙

Could the time an immunotherapy treatment is given make it more effective for people with type 1 diabetes?
That's the question Dr James Pearson and his team are exploring. Their research is investigating whether delivering treatment when protective immune cells (Tregs) are most 'awake' could improve its ability to slow or prevent the immune system from attacking insulin-producing cells.
It's an innovative approach that could help unlock more effective immunotherapies for type 1 diabetes.
