.@samrags_ believes we are going to see a 100x to 1000x growth in the universe of AI Agents in the next 5 years. Today, AI is involved in 62% of online shopping research, but only 23% of the actual buying. Agents have become good at helping you decide what to buy. They are still bad at paying. AgentCash, built by Sam at @merit_systems, is a wallet you can give to an AI agent. With it, the agent can do almost anything like rent GPUs, buy a phone number and even send texts from it. What it still cannot do is order you basic things like a coffee. Why? Because checkout pages are built to fight bots. "There is a world of open agentic commerce where every checkout is available to every agent." In this episode, he gets into: > How Google's ads business actually runs > What happens to a $300 billion a year ad industry when the customer is an AI agent that never looks at ads > Why he scrapped his first company idea a year into building it > How buying data online went from a programmer's job to something anyone can just ask an agent to do > Who does Amazon's shopping assistant really work for? You, or its $80 billion ad business? First look at Stableminded Ep. 0057 Full episode releasing tomorrow, brought to you by @Altitude

Designers, start coding. Really. I mean it. Taste is the hardest part and you already have it. AI handles the syntax. You can be so much more powerful.

It can't identify fonts (Etna & Instrument Serif) but it does default to very it-girl ones when making the brand kits...Neue Haas Grotesk, Söhne, GT Super etc. who gave GPT its taste in type 🤔

Great article on AI in the brand era from the Bessemer team FLORA doesn't replace your creative team or great creative ideas. It reduces friction for them by allowing them to go from idea to execution faster than ever, and build generative systems that scale the impact of their great ideas
the best brands have always lived in the gap, between what something is and what it makes you believe, or as Ramp’s @PaulJun_ more poignantly said “while product design is form follows function, brand design is form follows fantasy.” wrote an essay on the future of branding with @Libbiefrost after weeks of research and conversations with brilliant minds like @PaulJun_ @m1shti @9th @weberwongwong @dbabbs. learnings in thread 🧵 creativeconviction.github.io…

There are two categories of AI creative tools: Human-first tools built to empower the creative and increase their agency, or Automation tools, which seeks to replace the creative Making the best creatives most powerful will result in the best overall work, and that's the category that will win.
Seeing a lot of "AI design tools". AI-first, "design for me". Paper is a human-first design tool that lets you do more by reducing repetitive tasks with agents. Paper's goal is to let you use your skill and taste to make more software than ever before. Less work, more design.

Seven months ago, I hadn't written a line of code. Since then, I've built an app with Cursor and rebuilt my site in Next.js using Claude Code. Building changed my relationship to design. When you can ship what you imagine, brand starts to live in a whole new dimension. If you're hiring someone who thinks across brand and product, would love to talk.

GPT 5.4 is like your PHD research assistant. Brilliant. Analytical. Targeted. But you’d never grab a beer with the guy. Claude will drink you under the table and leave you laughing with glee.
