Meet ZANU-PF Central Committee member Mike Chimombe.
In 2021, the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development generously gave Chimombe and his associate Moses Mpofu, a mind-blowing US$87 million contract to supply 632 001 goats to underprivileged under the Presidential Goat Scheme.
They goats were valued at US$138.80 each.
The Ministry of Finance went on to pay him a US$40 million advance payment.
Chimombe and Mpofu never delivered the goats. They allegedly used the taxpayers' money to buy houses and top-of-the-range cars and mansions.
Despite duping the Government of US$40 million, Chimombe and Mpofu still collaborated with Wicknell Chivayo and Ren-Form in 2023 and got another US$40 million contract from ZEC, although they were later wittingly elbowed out of the deal.

We’ve never met but I had to fly to Miami to look this man @TheAnswerMMA in the eyes, hug him and shake his hand. I’ve been moved & motivated by his story ❤️
He recently won his first fight in the @ufc.
He had $7 bucks in his bank account when he won.
He sleeps on a couch in the gym.
After the fight, he sold his fight gear (trunks & gloves) on line and made $7,000. Instead of using the money to find a place to live, he built a bush pump so his village back in Zimbabwe can have clean water.
He never asked me for anything, but I just wanted to help the guy out. $7 Bucks ya know.
And I felt the MANA & emotion in every hug 😊💪🏾
Very good and very special day.

Supporting black owned brands or supporting African brands is really about where you spend your money.
It’s not about wearing African print or having something that screams “AFRICA”. It’s really about where you spend your money & what/who you advocate for.
