D'autres pistes d'explication ?

The world needs to start paying attention. We will break 15,000 deaths by the new year. And just because Ebola isn’t going to become a pandemic doesn’t mean it is not a global health security threat as well as a humanitarian disaster.
I have worked on Ebola outbreaks for more than 30 years. I have never stopped feeling the weight of each life lost. Yesterday I stood before more than 40 African Ministers and said what the data tells us: we are not winning so far. 10,172 confirmed cases. 4,932 people gone. I said it live and in the open. That is the only way to fight an outbreak like this. What gives me hope is that no Minister looked away. Together, we agreed to prepare every country, coordinate across our borders and keep those borders open while watching them closely. Our partners are standing behind Africa’s plan. Ebola anywhere in Africa demands preparedness everywhere in Africa. We will get there, together. ▶️ ow.ly/mgcu5101Uhp #Ebola #AfricaReady #AfricaResponds

We don’t have a shortage of clean air science, we have a policy bottleneck. From data overload paralyzing decision-makers to institutional silos & the "invisibility" of indoor pollutants, scientific evidence alone isn’t translating into laws. 🔗 seetheair.org/2026/10/29/why…

Duke University researchers found that after brain infections in mice, virus-specific CD8 T cells persisted in bone marrow for over 200 days. When reactivated, these immune cells triggered inflammation and altered blood cell production, even after the virus was cleared. link.springer.com/article/10…

Aplastic Anaemia After COVID-19: A Possible Infectious Trigger? ➡️ A single-centre study of 65 patients found a modest rise in aplastic anaemia diagnoses during the pandemic. Among 18 patients diagnosed in 2020–2023, 67% had antibodies suggesting previous SARS-CoV-2 infection, often unrecognised and occurring near disease onset. ➡️ Three patients with evidence of prior infection showed marked inflammatory cytokine activation and bone-marrow findings that may point towards immune-mediated injury in susceptible individuals. ➡️ What about vaccination? The study found no association between vaccination status and serological autoimmune abnormalities. 👉 Key takeaway: SARS-CoV-2 may have acted as a trigger for aplastic anaemia in some predisposed individuals, but the small, retrospective study cannot establish causation. Larger studies are needed to clarify the relationship. frontiersin.org/journals/imm…

Apparently some people need the same lesson every year. No, the COVID vaccine does not create sterilizing immunity. But in a 2026 JAMA Network Open household study, recent vaccination was associated with nearly a 50% reduction in transmission to household contacts compared with unvaccinated primary cases. And the 2025–26 updated vaccine still reduced COVID hospitalization by about 53–55% in recent U.S. data. So yes: It can reduce your chance of getting sick. It can reduce your chance of severe disease. And it can reduce your chance of passing the virus to someone else. None of those effects are absolute. No serious person claims they are. The remarkable part is watching someone in 2026 announce, with great confidence, that a vaccine must either stop every infection and every transmission or it “does nothing.” That is a toddler’s definition of efficacy.
Replying to @drterrysimpson
This is laughable, "getting a disease and/or spreading the disease". Only retards would believe that it stops transmission and infection in 2026. You need to get in your time machine and go back to 2020/2021 when everyone was eating those lies doc.

The public discourse around the efficacy of masks is insane. When transmission rates are low, “masks don’t work”, and when rates are high, “NHS hospital trusts south of the Tyne now require staff to wear masks”. Masks work. Period. chroniclelive.co.uk/news/nor…

"mild COVID-19 can leave the diaphragm measurably weaker and thinner two years later, producing real, progressive breathlessness that ordinary heart and lung tests completely miss" [Is there a single unharmed organ left?]
Persistent exertional dyspnea following mild COVID-19: potential association with diaphragm impairment 🚨Mild COVID, ‘normal’ lungs & heart, still breathless 2 years later? Your diaphragm may be the missing piece! #LongC0VID ➡️Interesting small German study of 25 non-hospitalized outpatients with persistent exertional dyspnoea a median of 24 months after mild COVID-19, ➡️Routine cardiopulmonary work-up (lung function, echocardiography, 6-minute walk test, bloods) showed no clear group-level explanation for the breathlessness, ➡️Non-volitional diaphragm strength (twitch transdiaphragmatic pressure (TwPdi) after cervical magnetic phrenic-nerve stimulation) was significantly lower than in matched pre-pandemic controls (median 14.2 vs 21.4 cmH₂O, p=0.02) with 52% of patients falling below the lower limit of normal, ➡️Diaphragm thickness on ultrasound was also reduced at both functional residual capacity (FRC) and total lung capacity (TLC), ➡️TwPdi declined stepwise with worsening dyspnoea severity and correlated strongly and inversely with post-walk mBorg score (r = −0.67), ➡️Fatigue scores were tightly linked to dyspnoea severity, ➡️56% of patients had already had two SARSCoV2 infections and 96% had received ≥2 mRNA vaccine doses, but these factors were not analysed separately. ‼️So, mild COVID-19 can leave the diaphragm measurably weaker and thinner two years later, producing real, progressive breathlessness that ordinary heart and lung tests completely miss. ‼️For the large group of people whose post-COVID breathlessness remains unexplained after standard tests, this identifies a concrete, potentially treatable target (respiratory-muscle weakness). Prior work by the same group has already shown that inspiratory muscle training can improve diaphragm function and reduce dyspnoea in hospitalised longC0VID patients. The authors advocate the same approach may be a plausible alternative for this milder phenotype. Clinically it argues for adding simple respiratory-muscle assessment (or at least considering targeted training) when routine cardiopulmonary evaluation is unrevealing.🤔 #AvoidSars2 #AvoidReinfections 🙏I would greatly appreciate @RobWust take and comments on this study! frontiersin.org/journals/phy…
