5 years ago, I chose to bet my life on building full time for the future of the decentralized internet in Africa. I stepped into Web3 with nothing but curiosity, conviction, and the willingness to keep building even when nobody was watching.
There were seasons of uncertainty, failed ideas, slow growth, painful lessons, doubt, and moments where quitting would have been easier.
But through it all, one thing never changed: the vision.
Now, the mission is clearer than ever.
I want to help build products, communities, and systems that can matter far beyond crypto.
These are the brands I’m dedicating my life to building into global relevance:
• Openwaver (@openwaver)
→ Building innovative Web3 products and digital infrastructure for the future.
• Web3 Nigeria (@Web3Nigeria)
→ Growing the largest Web3 community and media ecosystem in Nigeria and across Africa.
• Oarcoin (@oarcoin)
→ Creating a community-powered crypto reserve owned by the people who believe in it.
• Raflaxyz (@raflaxyz)
→ Building the future of fun, social mini-games, and prediction experiences onchain.
• Swink (@swinkapp)
→ Making crypto banking simple, accessible, and useful for emerging economies.
• Emerging Economy (@EmergingEconomy)
→ Becoming the intelligence layer for frontier markets and the next generation of opportunity.
I’m posting this today for accountability so years from now, we can all come back to this moment and remember it started from a small place without hype, without funding announcements and without headlines.
Just sheer grit, vision, consistency, and the decision to keep building through thick or thin.
Builders always build.
The dislike of Nigerians by Ghanians is understandable.
If you see the rubbish Nigerians do in Ghana even if you’re a Ghanaian you will dislike Nigerians too.
This isn’t just for Ghana alone, go to other African countries and see.
This is my first hand experience, I have lived in a couple African countries including Ghana long enough to have a say on this.
Bro….. how much them give you to dey spill this trash talk.
Tell me how much they gave you and I’ll triple it. God punish poverty.
How do you take a PR gig that would affect you as well for cheap naira.. I really can’t understand how some Nigerians think.
Went through one front end development job interview like that in 2019 for a company I really liked and wanted to work with, went for the interview where the lead dev and coo of the company grilled me nonstop and I failed woefully.
Took my self back home and laughed at how badly I failed the test because of how nervous I was lol.
Went back to my irl business again like nothing happened.
Buycoins that year.
Prepared like my life depended on it.
Last stage. Ire enter call. No icebreaker. Nothing. Mama just dey bombard me with questions. I was crazily nervous. Failed the main code challenge terribly, it was to implement setInterval using setTimeout (question wasn't this obvious).
Got a similar role in another company that ended up outliving buycoins(no shade to them) where I spent 4.5years before resigning earlier this year (something I wouldn't have imagined I could do 4years ago).
Looking back now, I now see why Americans appreciate even $20 given to them.
Money holds weight no matter the amount. It’s so easy to lose track of how valuable money can be when you’re on a lot.
When I saw that boys video, I told my wife “Watch this boy will be expelled” and reading this press release it is evident my assertions may be true.
Now the issue I have here is, he will be expelled for voicing out his concerns and nothing will happen to the institution in question.

Banks, ETFs, and institutions keep showing up.
At the same time, a lot of people still say adoption hasn’t happened yet.
Is crypto still waiting for real adoption or already living in it?

The elites in Nigeria choose who they want to represent them and their interests, if you think you have a say most of the time, you don’t.
Hard pill to swallow, but the earlier you do the better for you.
It’s either you join the elite group or you miss out.
Yesterday, I hosted dinner in honour of @DrObafemiHamzat, the incoming Governor of Lagos State.
A man of the highest integrity, with whom I shared a bunk bed at boarding school 49 years ago.
My experience of his character over the years has been defined by his honesty, sincerity, fairness and strong moral principles… F.Ote💲
Sell a spade to gold diggers and that’s how you become wealthy.
I now need to phantom a way to sell a spade on my journey to generational wealth.
Asian founders are winning big in tech lately. Love it.
The cross over of blockchain + AI
When will we have the African version?
Now that the degenerate hype around @RobinhoodCrypto is down, I’d love to know what’s hot on there?
The real question here is, do Nigerians use therapy services, and will they pay for therapy services?
You can now get therapy in Nigeria and pay for it in instalments.
@mytherapistng is introducing therapy on credit, letting eligible users spread the cost of their sessions over time instead of paying in full upfront.
I am planning on hosting a really great virtual summit via @emergingeconomy.
It’s been a while I planned something this huge, if you’ve hosted or planned a virtual event/summit and would love to join me on this, please indicate.
The worst of the fold are those of my wealthy Igbo brothers. 🤣
You go think say them get gold mine somewhere with all the Gold colored adorning and upholstery they do.
How PDP went from a powerhouse national party to an unpopular party in the entire nation in a span of a few years needs to be studied.
You mean to tell me the Peoples Democratic Party, couldn’t field a popular candidate to represent them?
Also who the heck is Sandy Ojang Onor?
