β€œPunishment is not something that happens to bad people. It happens to those who cannot stop it from happening. It is laundered pain, not a balancing of scales.”
Black people are truly held up to a higher standard than every other group with it comes to queerphobia. We’re never gonna wake up one day and all black people are perfect awesome angels who are completely right about everything that’s just insane

Acknowledging racism’s structural primacy in modernity is not an assertion of moral chauvinism. It is an empirical & historical claim about how political power, state structures, & social systems were constructed in REALITY. Nobody cares how you FEEL. It’s a structural analysis.
I don’t understand why so many ppl (mainly unitedstatians) seem to believe that racism stands above all other bigotries, & its somehow worse and uniquely incomparable Honestly it kinda reminds me of how some jewish ppl treat the Holocaust as inherently worse than other genocides

I still remember getting told β€˜ Niggers belong in trees, not the white house’ back in 2008 by one of my classmates and the principal refused to do anything about it.
the idea that black children have to suffer through racist nonsense during the most formative years of our life in order for white kids to learn a lesson is truly so evil. y'all want to sacrifice our safety and sanity for the sake of white ignorance

White people are such pathetic boot lickers they are more likely to mobilize like this to murder a black child than any corrupt politician or billionaire
Fifteen thousand people gathered in a Texas town square to watch a 17-year-old be burn€d alive. A professional photographer set up in advance, because the pictures were going to sell. Schoolchildren were let out to attend. The mayor watched from a window. Jesse Washington. Waco, 1916. He was a farmhand with limited schooling, convicted in a trial that took roughly an hour. Before the sentence could mean anything, the crowd took him from the courtroom itself. We will not describe what was done in that square. It is in the NAACP's investigation, gathered by an undercover investigator named Elisabeth Freeman, who arrived in Waco days later and got the whole thing on the record. The photographs were printed as POSTCARDS and mailed.

Facts. The last major β€œspectacle lynching” happened near my hometown less than a century ago. They made postcards and preserved some of his body parts as souvenirs, same as they did in other lynchings of Black men. Of course they don’t want this taught in schools.
"I'm shocked they're this cruel" Beloved. They gathered around in their Sunday best with children and babies to laugh and giggle at Black people being tortured and hung from a tree. Only to them take our limbs and private parts home in mason jars as souvenirs.

black people are taught "thats just the way it is" and white people are taught "you can do this and get away with it"
The average black person tries their best to simply forget about white supremacy just to have a normal life with human beings. We are told to repress our resentment and hatred and hope for this issue to get better. We wait and wait for a day that truly never comes

When yall make racism a quintessential part of a white teen’s coming of age, you also make it quintessential to black teen’s coming of age. β€œOmg she was only 15 when she said nigger”, yeah and black kids will only be 15 when they’re called that.

White supremacists are enemies to class solidarity
They organized to demand fair pay for their own cotton. In response, a mob, U.S. troops, three days of hunting Black sharecroppers through the fieldsβ€”and the deaths of 100 to 200+ Black men, women, and children. This is the The Elaine Massacre of 1919. Their crime was organizing a union so cotton planters would finally pay them a fair price for their own crops. When white landowners found out, they didn't send lawyers. They sent a mob of hundreds, backed by U.S. troops. Twelve Black survivors were then sentenced to death for "inciting" the violence done to them. They organized for fair pay. The response was armed violence, a massacre, and then death sentences for the people who survived it. The Elaine Massacre is one of the histories we documented in our book. They tried to punish the victims and bury the story. We put the story back on the record savvypurchase.samcart.com/pr…
