Hey Jackson. Best way to use Claude is to have Opus 5.5 on High as the orchestrator. Then set Sonnet 5.5 Medium as the default for sub-agents (if you dont know how to do this, just ask Claude, he will do it). You also ask Claude to be the judge for every sub-agent driven workflow, with specific instructions for it to determine if it requires "default" (Sonnet 5.5 Med) or a specific configuration (for example, Sonnet 5.5 High, or Opus 5.5 Med). I find this works really well, and sips usage. One final tip for you, you can also ask Claude to set up an escalation process for all sub-agent work. If you ask it to attempt jobs on the lowest model with lowest thinking mode, record output, and re-run with higher thinking, or even a higher model if required, and record that output too. It should then record the "best" compromise for speed vs cost vs quality, and write that into the relevant skills.
