Some people being mad they now have to play on odd patches is really funny but honestly I feel like the ilvl bump during odd patches is like...kinda just there?? if there's no ulti that patch then you don't need that extra ilvl

even if there is an ulti that patch, will it be balanced around the upgrades from alliance savage? I kinda doubt it

really just a lot of unknowns still, but personally I think putting week 1 clearers back into the player pool is a good thing

Very curious how ultimates are going to factor into the new gear progression or do we wanna start dooming about how they didn't mention new ultimate raids

8 man alliance raid savage is kinda neat. Not really for my static though, most likely, unless savage is just gonna end up being easier. I hope this isn't a replacement for chaotic

wondering what they'll be doing for unreal trials I feel like unreal has been pretty neat just cuz older ex trials are really not that complicated but I feel like with shadowbringers, they start to get a lot more involved

the idea of doing hades ex or seat of sacrifice ex with people that tend to do unreal trials sounds absolutely miserable

I'm very curious about the new progression system I'm hoping we get a lot of info about it so we can get an idea of how gearing up is gonna go

honestly I kinda get the crossover fatigue from having an evangelion alliance raid series and a FF7 raid series but moreso the FF7 raid series just cuz FF7 really is getting neverending at this point

my hot take is that I think bringing in writers and planners that like aren't familiar with FF14 is a really good way to shake things up and have mechanics that are a little more unique than your typical stack, spread, left cleave, right cleave, etc.

nier raids might be long as fuck but they also got some cool fights in them while the alliance raids in dawntrail were better than endwalker's, I still feel like they're overly concerned with playing it safe as far as FF14 mechanics go

square enix said on multiple occasions MONTHS ago that the typing mini-game You know the one where you TYPE WORDS requires a KEYBOARD and some people still act shocked and offended over it. You had four whole months to buy a cheap ass keyboard and plug it into your console

the lodestone is right there, media outlets that cover the game are plentiful, all the news about the game is really accessible I think some people are willfully ignorant as that gives them justification to bitch about things

also see people mad about how crucible of the unbroken is a "bad roguelike" despite the developers never once claiming it would be a roguelike or even have any randomized elements

fanfests keynotes could be a lot shorter but sadly most ffxiv players lack object permanence, so each one ends up having to be mostly information we already know

endwalker fanfests had them explaining the stat squish and removal of belts multiple times and there were still people confused about them

if you're botting the typing game, I think a meteor should blow up your house with you inside it

mmo players should be studied for how they will pay every month to play a game and then invent ways to automate playing it
