Researchers at @UVA and @UMAugusta — two partners in the 2024 Challenge — and Mi’kmaq Nation and the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Sipayik Environmental Dept are researching the presence of PFAS thanks to a grant from the @EPA
The Mi’kmaq Nation, Passamaquoddy Tribe and the University of Maine were each awarded roughly $1.6 million to embark on research into ways to reduce PFAS, known as forever chemicals, in the food supply. mainemorningstar.com/2024/09…
