تحت قيادة رئيس الوزراء ناريندرا مودي، وافق مجلس الوزراء على مبادرات رئيسية تهدف إلى تعزيز معالجة المعادن الحيوية، وتخزين الطاقة المتجددة، والقدرات الدفاعية، والبنية التحتية الإحصائية، وتسهيل الوصول إلى العدالة.

Major decisions taken by Union Cabinet today under the leadership of Prime Minister @narendramodi:
➡️ Approved Viksit Bharat Initiative for Statistical Transformation, Analytics & Research (VISTAR) Scheme for 2026–27 to 2030–31. Will provide strategic flexibility to dynamically allocate resources, fostering a holistic approach to large-scale survey execution, methodological research, digital transformation, and national data governance.
➡️ Capex Support Scheme to promote Critical Mineral Processing with a financial outlay of ₹ 2,814 crore for Lithium and Nickel processing approved. Will support critical sectors of electric mobility, Battery Energy Storage System, electronics, defence and speciality steel.
➡️ Approved Viability Gap Funding Scheme of ₹14,500 crore for Grid-Scale Energy Storage Systems to support development of 92 GWh energy storage capacity. Will accelerate renewable energy integration, strengthen grid stability and ensure affordable round-the-clock power supply.
➡️ Created a pathway for all Agniveers to be absorbed in Defence Forces. 25% of Agniveers will be offered regular employment in the Defence Forces. For the remaining 75% Agniveers, another engagement period of 2 years has been introduced, after which they will be offered enrollment as regular soldiers subject to willingness and their meeting selection criteria.
➡️ Continued Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Fast Track Special Courts for expeditious trial of cases of rape and POCSO Act till FY 2030-31. A step forward towards ensuring timely justice for victims of sexual offences.

Bhutan marked a historic milestone with the construction of 108 Buddhist Stupas (Jangchub Chortens) in just nine hours on 1 November 2026.
On this occasion, His Majesty The King and Union Minister Shri @KirenRijiju unveiled a plaque dedicating the 76th Stupa to PM @narendramodi , making this milestone an enduring symbol of the deep spiritual and civilisational bonds between India and Bhutan.
