I’m not big on media consolidation and would’ve preferred if WB remained independent. I’m also concerned about the debt load that Skydance will be carrying in the wake of all this. But hey, if you can pull it off and make good on your promises to help the industry and creatives in general, more power to you. Best of luck 👍 🤝 🚀
What once was the peak, is now just the beginning. Paramount and Warner Bros. shaped over a century of culture. By combining them, we aren't rewriting history — we're equipping these iconic studios with a more powerful engine. Together, we are Skydance: a creative-first home for bold, quality storytelling. We chose this name for a few important reasons. First and foremost, as we bring Paramount and Warner Bros. together, we wanted to preserve what has made each of these studios iconic. Both have distinct identities, extraordinary legacies and brands that have resonated with audiences for generations. We never wanted a new corporate identity to diminish, alter or overshadow either one. Instead, we wanted a name that would give the combined company an identity of its own while allowing Paramount and Warner Bros. — and all our extraordinary brands — to remain in the spotlight. We have big goals for Skydance, and we intend to pursue them with passion, imagination and a willingness to take smart risks. At the same time, we will honor what makes Paramount and Warner Bros. special — giving both studios the opportunity to grow, tell more great stories and bring those stories to even broader audiences around the world, powered by the scale and capabilities of Skydance. I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re going to build together.

Perfectly said. This is why the activist-fueled “anti-car” movement is fundamentally misguided. Once people get a taste of the freedom that cars afford, a lot of the alternative forms of transport offered by said activists and ideologues become substantially less appealing.
Cars represent freedom. People who hate cars tend to be people who are scared of freedom. I suspect that many young people don't "get" car culture because they have never experienced freedom. Getting your first car also means entering the adult world. Which also scares a lot of people.

Is it me or are a lot of other high profile creatives jumping ship from Netflix? Don’t mean that in a bad way, but it is a sign of change.
David Fincher, who has worked at Netflix for longer than just about any creative, is ending his deal with the streaming giant bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

This guy was one of the best, if not THE BEST, Superman artists ever.

Hell yes.

Really didn’t expect the Paramount/WB settlement. Regardless of the merits of the case (or lack thereof), was surprised to see Bonta and the other AGs cave in this early. Wasn’t a fan of Netflix buying WBD, not a fan of Paramount buying it either. But nonetheless, things are going to get quite interesting from here on out. Who knows what other twists and turns might come up along the way. Let’s see how it all goes.

This is one of Spielberg’s BEST films. So underrated.
United 93 aside all the best movies about 9/11 aren't actually about 9/11 itself.

I’ll keep this short, because when it comes to 9/11 and what came afterward, there’s a lot I could get off my chest. I saw the second tower collapse live, from the window, on the fourth floor of my middle school. I’ll never forget the reaction of my French teacher or anyone else that day. It was like watching an apocalyptic movie, but this was actual reality, unfortunately. Symbolically, that day also representations the demarcation of young adulthood from my childhood. There was life, and the world, before 9/11, and then there was life, and the world, after 9/11. Those who were born after will never understand. Everything changed that day, and it wasn’t for the better. F—k 9/11 and f—k the world it created. Now and forever. ‘Nuff said.

"A masterpiece. A truly monumental work of art." Conceived and filmed by genre-defying filmmaker William Greaves and directed by David Greaves, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HARLEM opens only in theaters October 16.

This kind of behavior is not going to help Paramount’s cause, in any way whatsoever.
A group supporting the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger is using AI to generate letters to California AG Rob Bonta’s office in an ongoing effort to pressure him to drop his antitrust lawsuit against Paramount. The group, which uses the neutral-sounding name Neighbors for Strong Communities, is also planning a press conference Thursday outside the Paramount gates to raise alarms about what would happen if the studio leaves California. variety.com/2026/film/news/p…
