Where Is LNG Headed in Latin America? From October 19–21, we participated in the 6th International GNL GLOBAL Forum 2026, held in Santiago, Chile. Representing Equigas International Inc. (Our Latin American Division) were Nailyn Arvelo De Salas, General Manager of EQUIGAS International, Inc. and CFO of the EQUIGAS Group, and Elvis Gimenez, Engineering Manager. Here are some of the key takeaways: - From Surplus to Shortage. According to POTEN & PARTNERS, a division of BGC Group, the conflict with Iran has turned the anticipated LNG supply surplus into a supply shortage. - Supply Concentration. 62% of global LNG supply comes from the United States, Qatar, and Australia. According to Capstone ITS , “Diversification creates value when its costs and benefits are transparent.” - Emerging Exporters in the Region. Argentina is making progress toward LNG exports through floating LNG facilities (Poten & Partners). Mexico has approximately 66 million metric tons per year of potential LNG export capacity (Rystad Energy). - The Rise of Small-Scale LNG. In Santos, Brazil, Edge is approaching 1,000 truckloads filled from a barge during its first year of operations. - Safety Starts with Equipment and People. Reliable Equipment and well-trained personnel are the foundation of every safe operation. The 83rd Annual Meeting of the International Oxygen Manufacturers Assn. (IOMA) has officially come to a close, marking another incredibly successful gathering of industry leaders from around the world with 150 Attendees, 63 Organizations, from 17 Countries. And GAWDA did it again! Another successful GAWDA Annual Convention, this time in the stunning city of Boston! With 1,026 attendees, including 288 distributors and 494 suppliers, where else can you find this level of networking, knowledge sharing, and industry connection all in one place? One of our favorite part of every GAWDA event is reconnecting with industry friends, customers, suppliers, and partners, many of whom, after so many years, truly feel like family. A special thank you to outgoing GAWDA President Allison Earlbeck for an outstanding year of leadership and meaningful content centered around “Renaissance of the Human Advantage.” And now, we welcome Kevin Falconer as our new GAWDA President! We are excited to “Lean In & Level Up” as we embrace this year’s theme and management playbook: “Step into the hard moments. Build the skills to win them.” The conference featured several outstanding speakers and sessions: • Alex Chausovsky: 3DM Consulting, Another magnificent presentation on global macroeconomics, key metrics, and the geopolitical landscape. • Maura Garvey: Moderating an excellent industry panel featuring Bob Ewing, Brad Dunn, and Ron Perry, bringing valuable perspectives and experience to the conversation. • Arel Moodie: A fascinating presentation on Adult Development Theory and how teams evolve, work, and win together. EQUIGAS Announces New Authorized Distributor Partnerships At EQUIGAS, we are always looking for ways to improve our services and better support our customers. Our goal is to offer a complete line of products for the gas industry and be a true One-Stop Shop: ONE company serving customers from three locations across the United States. Today we are excited to announce not ONE but TWO New Partnerships. EQUIGAS is proud to be the Authorized Distributor for Norris Cylinder, a TriMas Company and Premier Cryogenic Services. Both are American manufacturers known for the quality of their products and the strength of their people. Norris Cylinder Company Was founded by Kenneth T. Norris in 1930 to make fabricated metal products. In 1940, the company started its Compressed Gas Cylinder Division. Today, Norris Cylinder is the only US manufacturer of Steel High-Pressure Cylinders for Industrial Gases. It is also one of the world's largest manufacturers of high and low-pressure cylinders, with plants in Longview, TX, and Huntsville, AL. Norris Cylinder makes a wide range of seamless and welded steel cylinders in the United States and sells them in more than 80 countries. They are used in welding, medical, laboratory, food and beverage, breathing air, fire protection, aviation and many other applications. Premier Cryogenic Services, LLC, (PCS) Joe and Mark the Morreale Brothers, founded PCS in July 2019. The company is headquartered at 615 North 6th Street in La Porte (Houston), Texas, with additional locations in Slidell, Louisiana, and Delphi, Indiana. PCS's mission is to deliver the same high-quality cryogenic equipment service that the Morreale family has been known for over decades. PCS is a DOT-Registered, ASME R-Stamp facility. It specializes in inspecting, retesting, repairing and rehabilitating cryogenic containers and transport trailers, including LIN, LOX, LAR, LNG and LH2 equipment. PCS recently acquired Elite Cryogenics LLC of Slidell, Louisiana, Elite is an industry leader in retesting, repairing and rehabilitating Liquid Hydrogen Transport Trailers, and it now operates as part of Premier Cryogenic Services. PCS also plans to begin manufacturing Cryogenic Bulk Tanks, Microbulk Tanks and Liquid Cylinders in the USA very soon. Our sister company, Correct Cryogenics, has facilities in Fontana, CA and Greensboro, NC. Those facilities can serve as satellite locations where PCS customers can get minor repairs and 1-year and 5-year trailer inspections. Stocked and Ready to Ship EQUIGAS will stock both brands at all three of our locations: Greensboro, NC; Doral, FL; and Fontana, CA. We are the company that Answers the Phone and Ships the Same Day. 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 Even with the valves secure, gauges checked, and the daily audit signed off, theres still a man on the floor. Thats the danger of gases in an enclosed space. Nitrogen, Argon, and CO₂ dont smell, dont sting, and dont announce themselves. They quietly push Oxygen out of the room. Liquid Nitrogen expands roughly 700 times when it vaporizes, so a small leak from a dewar or a venting relief valve can turn a normal fill room into an oxygen-deficient one faster than most people expect. Normal air is 20.9% oxygen. Below 19.5%, OSHA considers it oxygen-deficient, and by the time someone feels off, they may already be in trouble. Ventilation is the first line of defense. Fill rooms, cylinder storage, and dewar areas need real airflow, not just a cracked door. But ventilation only works if its running when it counts, and thats where fixed gas detection comes in. That is why we partnered with GasLab, to keep gas distributors safe in their fill plants. • 𝗠𝗦𝗖𝟮 𝗙𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗚𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 for fill rooms and storage bays. It handles up to 3 sensors, with O₂ (0–25%) and CO₂ (0–5%) remote sensors as the core pairing. Its LED display warns people before they walk in, and parallel warnings can be placed at each entrance.  • 𝗗𝗚𝗖-𝟬𝟲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 for larger plants, with up to 128 sensors on one system and configurable relays that can kick on exhaust fans or trigger horns and strobes automatically. • 𝗣𝗫𝟮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 for hydrogen or propane areas, with ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 and 2 ratings and FM/CSA Class I, Div. 1 enclosures. These systems are built to meet OSHA, NFPA, and CGA safety standards, so they support both your people and your next inspection. The audit sheet can't tell you whats in the air. A Gas Detector can!
