This is known as delegating, a standard practice managers and senior staff adopt over time. They set aside certain skills to develop new ones.
HOLY: Anthropic's Claude Code engineer Addy Osmani is warning about a brutal AI paradox: the more coding you hand to agents, the more you risk losing the very skills needed to supervise them.
He calls it "cognitive surrender." AI-generated code looks pristine, tests pass, and engineers start approving work they no longer understand.
Anthropic's own research warns: "supervising Claude requires the very coding skills that may atrophy from AI overuse."
Osmani makes a striking observation: "When you're producing more than you can stand behind, you're no longer reviewing. You're hoping."
Charts are arriving in viraui.dev, and they are exactly as they always needed to be.
It is an optional package based on visx that can be used together with the standard ViraUI #designsystem. Same tokens, same brands, same quality using your favourite #AI agent.
I tried Figma Code and Specs on viraui.dev. It looks like a desperate attempt to stay in the loop.
Poorly designed and really confusing. It can't still read and work on real codebases.
😂 they moved to a static design tool to another and calling it revolution.
Paper doesn’t work with your coded components, like Figma it needs to recreate their version inside the app, a copy of the real components. Still two surfaces to maintain.
Release progress UI built with 1 prompt.
ViraUI is the only design system you need to create with AI without the slop.

Sunday night. Tomorrow's first git diff is already waiting.
Vira Theme uses one palette in VS Code, JetBrains, Cursor and your terminal, so the diff reads the same wherever you open it.
What's the first file you'll open Monday?

I’m launching ViraUI, because agents are already building UI, and almost nobody has given them a real system to do it with.

a frequent design trick is to use a neutral, semi-transparent text color, so it blends nicely across different toned backgrounds
but when the text is paired with an icon and the same color is applied to the svg, some icons have "stronger spots" where their paths intersect
and some llms (not all:)) will insist on fixing this by switching to a solid color tinted for that specific bg
but then you need a different color for every background, which defeats the original goal
a super easy solution is to keep using the neutral, solid color, and apply opacity separately to the whole svg instead
it turns out with the 1st version, every separate stroke/path is semi-transparent, so overlapping parts are painted multiple times and their opacity stacks
with the 2nd version, all paths are rendered together first using the solid color, then the opacity is applied to the completed icon as a whole!
On viraui.dev, I’ve ditched the classic centred dialogue design to fully embrace a bottom sheet approach for both mobile and desktop. This aligns with my long-held desire to move away from old design patterns and adopt touch-friendly layouts.
Ever needed to check the value of a property in #CSS?
You can easily check the value of a custom property for custom styling by combining the new container queries (available in all browsers) with the famous css toggle.

Claude Code automatically adds itself to the commit metadata "Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus <[email protected]>".
I strongly disagree with crediting Claude as a commit co-author. It is a tool I'm paying for, not a copyright holder, not an author. We don't credit Visual Studio.
You know you can create context-aware components in CSS?
By using the container query, the component can adapt its style automatically if placed inside the specified container.

All new Blossom Carousel docs are live with tons of new examples, framework guides, migration guides and Agent SKILLS.

A good dark theme should not make every token scream for attention.
The point is hierarchy: primary syntax should guide you, secondary syntax should stay quiet, and the UI should
almost disappear.
That's Vira Theme. Made by designers, for developers.
