Worth adding to this, as we're already seeing a wave of projects claiming "we rewrote Discord to Rust before they did" or promising brand new client mod injectors.
⚠️ Do NOT blindly trust third-party custom clients. Discord's Gateway telemetry and connection monitoring are extremely aggressive. Writing an independent client from scratch is fundamentally different from injecting code into official builds. A single mismatched header, wrong fingerprint, or broken socket lifecycle won’t just error out, it will get your account permanently flagged and banned as a selfbot. Most of these "early rewrites" might in future lack 99% of internal anti-abuse logic.
⚠️ Expect a massive wave of scams and malware. With the native Rust client dropping, bad actors will flood modding community. If reputable mod devs say it will take months or might be outright impossible, no unknown developer has magically solved it on release week.

The anti-AI crowd is digging its own grave.
AI is inevitable. You can refuse to use it today, but eventually you won’t have much of a choice.
And when that day comes, you’ll be starting from zero while everyone who embraced it years ago already knows how to use it to their advantage.
