Us old farts sure had fun this weekend. Went 3-0 and captured the ‘Ship defeating a trio of townball teams. Not bad for a 30+ year old team taking down 19 and 20 year olds. Will be icing our knees forever…
Not too many guys say they got to win their last baseball game of the season. But the Iron 9 took down the friendly competition at the 35+ Hickory Tourney the last couple weekends and won The Ship last night.

Our guy Nate gets DRILLED by a former MLB pitcher’s fastball and struggles to make it down to first base. Couple pitches later as Nate is still visibly hurting, Tonka pulls the hidden ball trick on him lol. Hats off to Tonka, they definitely wanted to win the game more.

Being an old, washed up ballplayer makes for only occasional successes. However last week appears to be that rare instance of a solid performance as I was selected as a Player of the Week in @TCMABL. I guess they think I’m related to Jimi with the spelling of my last name. 🎸
Gave it everything I had today and left it all on the field in game 1. Even great defenses can have an ‘off day’. Unearned runs happen in baseball; just happy we were able to bounce back and get the big W in game two. Been a blast playing down here in Ft Myers. ⚾️🤟 – at Cape Coral, FL
Bruins drop game 4 against the Baltimore Chop. @eric_hendo got the start but after a couple of errors and not hitting a thumber found us down 5-1. A 6th inning rally brought us to 5-4 but that was the final score. Next up is the 4-0 St Louis Jays with Dave Klocker starting.

Bruins take care of business in the opening game of the Sunshine Classic. @casa0051 pitches a complete game with 140 pitches with 7 strikeouts. Doubleheaders the next 2 days, game times are 10:00 and 1:30
Pro: Minnesota has many great local manufacturers of wood baseball bats.
Con: Taking days to research and compare all of MN baseball bat manufacturers to decide what to buy for ‘24.

I feel like that stereotypical grumpy neighborhood Karen, but I simply cannot stand my @Xfinity service. Been 3 years of headaches but no other high speed service in my area. Now I see $105 in EXTRA charges this month from “High usage” #totaljoke – at Montrose, MN
Not to mention @Xfinity ‘s massive data breach the other day affecting 35 million accounts, including mine. Had to change all my personal info in my account since it was compromised. #xfinitysucks I had less problems with dialup internet in ‘99. – at Montrose, MN
