The jaguar, exhausted, swims toward the boat, and the soldiers pull it out of the water. Beautiful kindness!

I've heard so many versions of this song and they're all great. But in my opinion, this is the best version ever.

Quite funny. AI can modestly predict survival where people look older or younger than they are. But wait, everyone does that every day and likely with some general predictive validity. The unaddressed question is whether AI is any better at it. theguardian.com/technology/2…

Novak Djokovic defeats top seed Alexander Zverev at the China Open. His rage against the dying of his tennis light continues. This point is absolutely insane.

Adverts were way better back in the 1980s & 1990s. Case study: Gregor Fisher. Photo booth. Comb-over. Hamlet cigar. Good advertising was a cigar called Hamlet.

In 2024 the ICC ordered that all victims of the Lord's Resistance Army's atrocities must be paid a mighty $750 each. There was no money to pay it, as it knew, so it was never paid. Only one reparations order, for $250 each in respect of DRC, has resulted in a payment to victims.
#ICCProcess: At the end of an #ICC trial, in case of a conviction, victims can seek reparations for the harm they have suffered. Learn more ➡️ icc-cpi.int/about/victims

This isn't the kind of 'internet' threat politicians so often brag about. It's (allegedly) a hammer murderer. Even for non-Reform supporters, this does seem pertinent to Farage's widely-derided claims that threats against him were not being taken seriously by the establishment.
🚨 BREAKING: Ann Widdecombe's murder suspect Joshua Kerry has been charged with conducting preparation of acts of terrorism, including against Nigel Farage

A national treasure, undercover posh ladies, special hats, allegations, intrigue, farms in Exmoor and Suffolk, the King's equerry? If the equerry is a super posh Black guy whose brother-in-law is a Duke I think we can see where all this is going.
Some fear the explorer is being isolated by his wife, Louise Millington-Cotes. Now a relative reveals the measures loved ones took to see him thetimes.com/uk/healthcare/a…

Astute stuff. Scottish parliament has some decent folk but this is pitiful. The system seems set up to serve as a PR device for government, party leaders and committee chairs. Bit more grit in the works would help.
Another one seemingly out of their depth. It's a good job for the SNP that most voters largely ignore what's going on at Holyrood and this stuff is rarely picked up by UK media. The SNP moan about the lack of UK media coverage of Scotland. It's actually a blessing in disguise

Without making any assumptions about cause of death, I feel truly sorry for this man's family. Relatively regular guy, if well connected, who might have made a terrible mistake once. A lot of the comments here are sympathetic: human face of X.

Glen Campbell. William Tell Overture. A jaw-dropping display of guitar 🎸 playing coordination. Blazing-fast rapid alternate picking and musical showmanship.

I don't think so. It's a long play.
Like Ukip and like Brexit, Reform is fundamentally a scheme hatched and backed by very rich men who are peeved that they don't run the country. Surely even their own voters have to grasp this eventually.

God Bless New York.
Paul Simon pays tribute to 9/11 by performing "The Sound Of Silence". A native New Yorker, you can see the deep emotion in Paul's face as he sings. Heartbreaking.
