The waffle-pancake hybrid: who is working on this?

“Appearing” blog post.

“Music abundance” came from recorded music, not training millions of musicians. “Transportation abundance” will come from autonomous vehicles on the ground and in the air. Abundance of X, where X is some valuable good or service, will probably come at some employment cost, but we’ll probably all be much, much better off.

In light of recent cybersecurity risks, it’s interesting to think about 1) how many household humanoid robots will be equipped with manual service disconnects and 2) how many families will remove these at night.

This was Momi Toby’s cafe in Hayes Valley. An excellent neighborhood institution that sadly closed.
a friend and i were talking about seeking Viennese coffeehouse culture in SF. the dream is a spacious, cozy neighborhood cafe where we can spend a Saturday or Sunday reading, writing, chatting, and inviting friends to drift in and out throughout the day. maybe it turns into a bar in the evening over time it becomes a weekly ritual where you can just show up and find familiar faces, no plans needed does this place exist? what’s the best cafe in SF for this?

Low-hanging fruit for super intelligence is very different from that of human intelligence. Expect miracles!

We need a dashboard of AI-powered technical breakthroughs which also explains why the breakthrough is important for those of us that don’t know what, e.g., Navier–Stokes is. Please build this, @AndrewCurran_.

New X product person seems cool.
I’m joining the team at @X to lead Product. I am a huge believer in @SpaceX's mission to extend human consciousness to the stars, so it’s time to make shitposting multiplanetary. X is the best way to find out what’s happening in the world right now and talk about it. The team has been working tirelessly to make X a better place and product for the people who love it, and many have noticed the recent momentum. My goal is to help accelerate that momentum for our community, new users, and businesses globally by continuing to make this product beautiful and useful. We are twenty years in, but it truly feels like X’s next chapter will be our greatest. I look forward to your ideas and feedback; I’m sure the replies will be measured and magnanimous.

“Stranded compute” an interesting new coinage?
Replying to @Yuchenj_UW
I think we’re going to see a lot of stranded compute in partially complete data centers

Exquisite photo:
Fall is a great time to explore America's public lands, but don't let your travel plans get buried. Snow, icy roads and seasonal closures can impact your visit. Check the forecast and road closures before heading out. Photo by @YellowstoneNPS

Given the choice between whether your country had a San Francisco Bay Area or a Pearl River Delta, you’d probably pick the former over the latter.
