Clarification: @CBarraford 's word is irrevelant. The Nodes do not answer to him or anyone else. They are individual entities with individual agency. That's what he is trying to explain. He has absolutely ZERO control over the network.

I did some research into NEAR INTENTS to learn more about it before my interview with @TheDesertLynx next week. I found NEAR behaves more like a centralized exchange with on-chain settlement than a permissionless protocol, it operates like changelly

Wouldn't it be easy to ask 2/3 of the Ethereum nodes to return the hacked funds to Binance?
Claude tells me 8 entities control 67% of the network.
Lido, BitMine, Coinbase, Binance, Figment, Grayscale, EtherFi, and Kraken.

I don't even swear on here, but all the dishonesty, cope, avoiding responsibility, and bullying THORChain and other DEXes for not censoring people's transactions made me go on a bit of a rant.
If you're going to do TrustMeBroFi, get rekt.
Sorry not sorry. Decentralize or GTFO.

Every time there is a large scale hack, the goal is to exit crypto, through centralized parties into US dollars because thats the most effective means to launder money. These CEXes have identifying info and communication with these bad actors, and should work with law enforcement
Emurgo after hurting Cardano's image causing many regular retail users to lose their funds stated they would deregister their voting keys.
They held(still do) on of the largest voting powers on Cardano.
Yesterday, they voted yes on a treasury withdraw. WTF
Imagine being given 3 Billion ADA, with the 3 Billion ADA all you ship is a wallet in 8 years.
You then use this wallet to get 18% of Cardano's voting power by giving showing no other dReps other than your own. Without educating the user on what a dRep is, or what you'll even vote for. To delegate to any other dRep you had to have a 56 char hash from another website.
You then vibe code a closed source update. Ship it, resulting in millions lost from regular people.
Backlash comes, you say you will dereg your keys. But then still vote on spending treasury money. That's Emurgo. You literally can't make this shit up.
I agree with @dori_coin . Its difficult to assign any motive other than malice.
Both @emurgo_io and @YoroiWallet voted Yes on PFMS right before deregistering. I went through their rationale, and it was basically copy-pasted from the proposal itself. I couldn't find any real reasoning in it.
They did serious damage to our ecosystem with the wallet hack, and they built up much of their voting power through wallet UX. I think they voted irresponsibly right up to the end.
One thing I'm sure of: at foundations like Solana or Sui, which push hard on ecosystem growth and take a practical approach, this proposal wouldn't even make it to review.
As someone who works in this industry, I find it hard to accept putting this much treasury money into this proposal.
If you're not convinced, show me a foundation or VC that's funded a record-keeping project at anywhere near this amount in the last few years.

Every USB device has a unique serial number that identifies it.
When you plug a USB drive into a computer, the operating system logs the device's vendor ID, product ID, and serial number. That drive can be traced across every computer it's touched. Forensic analysis of machines reveals what USB devices have connected to them.
USB serial numbers are logged in Windows registry entries that persist after the device is removed.

So Keystone just admitted the attacker stole the exact WebAuth key that powers their official “is this device genuine?” check.
This is the key they burned into every device at the factory so you could scan a QR code on their site and confirm it wasn’t a supply-chain fake. Now an attacker has it - meaning they can manufacture counterfeits that PASS THE OFFICIAL VERIFICATION.
They’re destroying ~19k units in inventory and switching to a new key.
Devices that already shipped before Oct 20 are supposedly fine. Anything after that date? Even if it authenticates, they say contact support because it might still be fake.
Your device CAN BE COMPROMISED BEFORE YOU EVEN OPEN THE BOX.
They’ve spent months warning people about supply-chain attacks and telling them to verify their device before use. The verification mechanism itself just got compromised.
This is so bad??!!

The first test swap(real fund) was successful.
Mainnet is not far(2 weeks 😉).
Soon, you'll be able to swap XMR directly on NativeSwap.

You want to know why the Internet is less private than it used to be? It’s, at least in part, because of you, Firefox.

As always, there's a lot of misinformation around privacy circulating around.
Let me break down why "pass-through privacy" fails, and how even cryptos without a transparent pool end up having one in practice (with all its privacy pitfalls).

The EU is banning monero:native Personally, that’s the biggest green flag a privacy coin could get.
Under the new rules every regulated exchange has to drop privacy coins by 2027. Loads already have. About 73 dumped Monero last year. You’d think that kills it. No exchanges, price collapses. Exact opposite. It went up 120%.
A ban only hits the middlemen. Exchanges, custodians, companies that have to follow the rules. Your wallet, person to person, the decentralised swaps, the chain itself, none of that cares what the EU says. No off switch. No headquarters to raid.
They’re not banning it because it’s useless. They’re banning it because it works. That’s the green flag

This is why Cardano uses the eUTXO model just like Bitcoin, for managing the ledger, with the (e)xtended improvements to increase the capabilities of Cardano.
Replying to @seal_kiman @UtxoSaint
It's almost like Satoshi knew something about distributed systems (or network / p2p programming) as the UTXO model is well-designed for avoiding them. .eth's were young, naive, no experience/wisdom, reimplemented around an obviously broken architecture. Tried to warn them 🤷♂️
