▪️ Footage from Gaza shows the aftermath of an Israeli strike on a residential area, with a wounded child standing in the rubble and civilians carrying the injured through the dust
▪️ It was filmed by Gaza videographer Ehab Nuor, who has documented Israeli attacks throughout the war
▪️ Turning family homes into rubble and leaving children wounded in the dust is not self-defense. It is the deliberate destruction of civilian life, and those responsible must answer for it
▪️ Amnesty International says Israel's systematic destruction of residential buildings in Gaza must be investigated as the war crimes of wanton destruction and collective punishment

Yesterday, I was near Palestine Tower, a building that is at risk of collapsing at any moment. Beneath it are shops and families living in tents. The tower is dangerously unstable, and if it suddenly collapses, many innocent people could lose their lives.
There are no international organizations taking action to remove the dangerous rubble, secure the area, or begin rebuilding the tower from the ground up to prevent it from collapsing onto the people below.
I was standing beneath it yesterday, and I was terrified. I kept thinking that I could die at any moment if the damaged structure or falling debris suddenly came down.
Families are living under the constant threat of death, with nowhere safe to go. How long must people continue living in such danger before someone takes action?

I live here, surrounded by this wasteland of rubble, and they ask me to accept my fate, behave rationally, and be a good, well-adjusted person, as though a normal life were not meant for someone who holds Palestinian Arab nationality.
