MassChallenge Switzerland, part of a global network of zero-equity startup accelerators, hosted its 2026 Awards Ceremony yesterday at Beaulieu, Lausanne. Over 500 innovation ecosystem guests celebrated the 2026 Early-stage Accelerator winners. Swiss startups Trilliome and Flycatcher each received a CHF 10’000 Gold award. The One Young World Award, also worth CHF10'000, went to DecodeNAture.

O!deal wants to make its mark in the flash sales market

Set to launch on November 1st, O!deal is a new Swiss flash sales platform available in four languages. For brands, Switzerland is often a closed circle: sales require ads, and ads require sales. Regardless of size, brands can submit their offers on O!deal without fees or commissions. The platform purchases the accepted products, sells them over a period of one to seven days, and handles delivery and customer service. Brands ship only what sells. Launched on October 12, the supplier portal is filling up fast as founder Laurent David explained to Startupticker.ch

Switzerland's 10-centime coin holds the @GWR (Guinness World Records) title for the oldest coin design still in circulation.
Its design dates back to 1879, and coins from that year are still legal tender today.

What if data centers could turn their own waste heat into cooling instead of consuming more electricity? 🌡️
That’s the idea behind Thermal Transformer, one of the startups joining the Venture Leaders Cleantech 2026 roadshow to Munich this November.
Led by Co-Founder Erich Rütsche, Thermal Transformer is developing a heat-driven cooling technology that converts low-temperature waste heat into useful cooling energy.
By using waste heat instead of electricity to power cooling systems, the technology aims to reduce energy consumption and operating costs, particularly in data centers, where growing AI workloads are driving demand for more efficient cooling solutions.
In November, Erich will join the Swiss National Cleantech Team in Munich to connect with investors, industry leaders, and potential partners.

The Foundation for Innovation and Technology (FIT) is supporting three new start-ups through Tech Seed loans. Biodelphis Therapeutics is receiving CHF 100’000 to advance its targeted treatment for osteoporosis. PolaSight has been awarded a loan of CHF 100’000 to prepare for the market launch of its scanner, which helps pathologists analyse tissue samples taken during cancer surgery more quickly. Swiss Soil has also been awarded CHF 100’000 to conduct field trials of its vineyard management system, which continuously monitors the soil and vines.

Through the ESA-supported RESHAPE project, CSEM and Almatech demonstrated a reusable, 3D-printed shape memory alloy shock absorber that could help make future lunar and planetary landers lighter, simpler and more sustainable.

The Swiss tech-bio, which has been founded by ex-Google technologists, pharma and AI experts, simulates patient-level efficacy and safety signals before Phase II and aims to eliminate animal testing. Atlas Bio closed a $10 million Seed round led by Creandum, alongside a previously unannounced pre-Seed round led by First Momentum Ventures and LEA Partners.

In a recent report, the @NRDC underscored the urgency of advancing both deep emissions reductions and carbon removal to stabilize the climate, highlighting the importance of scaling carbon removal responsibly and sustainably.
“Successful carbon removal deployment will require high standards, strong environmental stewardship, and collaboration across sectors. We are glad to see NRDC advance this important conversation,” said @AndrewFishbein Lead Government Affairs North America at Climeworks.
