HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY, BITCOIN!
18 years ago today, October 31, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper, laying the foundation for what would become one of the greatest wealth-creating assets in financial history.
Bitcoin was conceived as an alternative to the traditional banking system, giving people the ability to control their own money without relying on banks, governments, or centralized financial authorities.
Those who recognized its potential early were rewarded beyond imagination. Those who recognize its potential today will also be rewarded over time.
Meanwhile, Richard Heart spent years trashing Bitcoin, discouraging people from buying BTC while promoting his own cryptocurrency, HEX, which he marketed as a superior alternative.
Well, 18 years later, let's look at the results.
BITCOIN: A globally recognized digital asset, widely regarded as digital gold, with growing institutional adoption and worldwide recognition.
🗑️ HEX: Trading at approximately $0.000565, a tiny fraction of a cent, and down roughly 99.9% from its all-time high.
And Richard Heart himself? Arrested in Turkey and facing serious legal scrutiny. His future is now in the hands of the justice system.
The irony is extraordinary.
The man who spent years telling people Bitcoin was trash promoted a token that has lost its entire peak market value, while Bitcoin continues to establish itself as a global financial asset.
Bitcoin didn't need Richard Heart's approval to succeed. And HEX didn't become a better Bitcoin simply because Richard Heart said so.
18 years later, the difference between revolutionary technology and deceptive marketing couldn't be clearer.

👉Multichain is the closest real-world example of what can happen when a bridge’s critical keys are under a founder’s control and that founder gets arrested.
In May 2023 Chinese police arrested Multichain’s CEO, Zhaojun.
👉He held control of the keys that to the bridge contracts. The police confiscated his computers, phones, hardware wallets, and seed phrases. The team lost access to the infrastructure.
👉A few weeks later, in early July, roughly $126 million left Multichain’s bridge contracts in what the team called abnormal transfers to unknown addresses (mostly from the Fantom side — WBTC, USDC, USDT, DAI, and others). Circle and Tether later froze tens of millions of the USDC and USDT that had been moved out. Zhaojun’s sister tried to move remaining funds to preserve them and was then arrested as well.
👉On July 14 the team announced they were permanently shutting down. They no longer had access to the keys, the servers, or the operational funds. The bridge stopped. Most of the locked assets were effectively lost or stranded. TVL collapsed from over a billion dollars.
🤌It wasn’t a smart-contract bug. It was the loss of the founder’s exclusive control over the keys that actually ran the bridge. Once those keys were in police hands, the bridge was finished. The exact circumstances of the abnormal outflows were never fully clarified.

deva, founder, couldn’t bother to deliver the primary monthly revenue share for 9mm on time 11 out of 12 months a year for 2 of the last 3 years and couldn’t be bothered to develop his platform or market his platform.
the community became discouraged with his obvious laziness and lack of care, and bullish0x out of a kindness and care for the investors basically worked for free alongside another dev to completely modernize the brand and bring a fresh opportunity to robinhood.
deva suddenly decides to re-emerge (hadn’t even left any messages in the telegram for weeks) and comes out to say he’s basically revoking bullish from the stack… claiming that he has better ideas and that bullish is misguiding the brand (empirically false, complete nitwit opinion).
deva made sure to turn off his replies before posting because he knew he would get absolutely dragged for causing massive uncertainty and fear in his own brand for no reason after most holders assumed he was dead.
at the end of it all, deva negotiated away all but the pulsechain aspect of the business (mind you he owned all the 9mm infrastructure on all chains) and now he only has ownership and revenue rights to pulse 9mm, and everyone is selling and leaving anything he ever touches because he has ruined their investments for quite literally… no reason.
he claims he has better features coming. nobody cares. he’s a moron. he’s lazy. he’s an opportunist dirtball. and he’s finished.
luckily with the advancement of frontier ai capability we don’t need anyone like that being responsible for a single line of code in the community.
