When institutions collaborate, they build an ecosystem that accelerates the growth, exposure, and confidence of the next generation. Today 2 July 2026, I was incredibly honored to witness and be part of a major milestone, the official renewal of the 5-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between @ewb_ea and the @UIPE_Uganda A huge thank you to Mr. @PNzabanita, Executive Director, EWB-EA ,Eng. Peterson Mwesiga, FCIArb, MUIPE, R.Eng(U) , President, UIPE, for this incredible opportunity and for their visionary leadership in driving this partnership forward. Its real impact lies in what it means for the young engineers and graduates across Uganda. This initiative builds beautifully on UIPE's ongoing commitment to youthful professional development, particularly through its dedicated Continuous Professional Development (CPD) frameworks and structural registration mentorship programs designed to turn graduate trainees into fully competent, industry-ready leaders. True professional growth happens when institutional strength meets youthful drive, and this collaboration is specifically structured to accelerate that transition. This partnership creates a sustainable launchpad for early-career professionals to gain real-world competency, secure professional mentorship, and access vital talent pipelines. This joint effort ensures that the next generation isn’t just entering the workforce with theoretical knowledge, but is fully backed by UIPE's relentless effort to champion local capability, elevate the professional voice, and provide the technical and ethical training needed to lead our engineering ecosystem into the future. Here is to empowering the future of engineering in Uganda and building local capability from the ground up! πŸ’ͺ

EWB-EA together with @EWBUSA, Rotary Clubs of Kansas City & Kericho, recently assessed A.I.C. Litein Hospital’s water, sanitation & energy systems. The hospital relies on 3 water sources producing ~188,000 L/day, still below demand. Next: system redesign for reliable supply.
