Hey emerging novelists! Apologies for the delay... we are in the process of reviewing all the great excerpt submissions for EXCERPT No. 2. We'll be sending out responses/finalizing the next issue before the New Year. Happy holidays!
Submissions are rolling in for EXCERPT No. 2, our second print issue!
Due to an overwhelming response the first time around, we’ll be open for a limited time only until we hit our cap of 150 subs or Oct 22nd, whichever comes first. So get those excerpts ready and send us your best!
Novel excerpts only from emerging fiction writers who’ve yet to publish with a major press. This includes fiction writers with unpublished manuscripts and authors with novels coming out from small press.
You can check out submission guidelines and read some excerpts from the excerpts in our first issue at excerptmag.com
Even better you can buy a copy of our first print issue EXCERPT No. 1 online through the usual suspects (Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, Powells, Amazon) or order it from your favorite local bookstore :)

We're thrilled to publish an excerpt from The Red-Headed Pilgrim by @kevinrmaloney, one of our favorite novels to come out this year!
It's a hysterical tragicomic spiritual odyssey of an anxious red-head on a cross-country quest in search of enlightenment and love. It's so damn good. Do yourself a favor and buy the book, available now from @TwoDollarRadio. In the meantime, check out the two-chapter excerpt at excerptmag.com!
“I was like a haggard Achaean come home from the Trojan War, only I was wearing a tie-dye t-shirt and a wooden name tag with the word GOOGOLPLEX written on it in purple Sharpie.”
Check out this excerpt from THE RED-HEADED PILGRIM over at @excerptmag 🔥🔥

This book will be a movie or tv show within five years and its author @_jtprice_ will be as rich as Croesus. Agents, editors, and Hollywood big shots, take note. excerptmag.com/
With the WGA writers strike ongoing, we bring you a time capsule from the golden age of Hollywood - a fictional retelling of the October 5th, 1945 union strike at Warner Brothers from @_jtprice_’s A Leading Man.

We’re excited to publish this two chapter excerpt - Jack Warner, Ronald Reagan, Jane Wyman, and other Hollywood stars at a lavish restaurant discussing the strike followed by the CSU union head Herb Sorrell’s account of what happened on the ground that day. We stand in solidarity with the WGA and unions everywhere.
