I don't think I like technology anymore.
Computers are way too expensive, and all the operating systems are different flavors of dogshit. Software is either a fucking subscription, just maximum cock-punch wealth extraction at all times, or else broken freeware trash that's probably malware. Tablets and phones are torture to use due to their drooling retard poke-the-screen interface. Can't type a full length, adult reading level sentence without wanting to kill yourself. And every app is a spyware scam. The only piece of software that isn't garbage is Steam, but there aren't any games I want to play.
Every website is 87mb of broken Javascript that wants to crawl up your asshole and measure your fucking colon polyps for AI training data. Can't just use the website, no. Have to accept the cookies, opt out of the mailing list, close all the popups and overlays, make an account, password with 9000 bits of entropy, check your email for a link, check your phone for an SMS code, check your authenticator app, insert your Yubikey, sound your fucking urethra.
Gotta buy a new wifi router because it's not getting patches anymore and new CVEs are dropping every 45ms. Then low and behold, my printer can't connect to the new router, so I have to fall back to using cables, but I don't have a cable that's long enough so I have to shell out more fucking money for zero fucking benefit over what I already had for years. At least the new wifi router will let me set up a vLAN for my FUCKING HUMIDIFIER because a FUCKING HUMIDIFIER needs wifi and a FUCKING APP for some reason and won't let me change the settings without it.
Nothing about technology in 2026 is for *MY* benefit. It's all about barriers and obstacles being put in my path so I can be milked for every fucking dollar I have, and putting me under a microscope so that a bazillion Indian-run eCommerce shitholes can optimize the extraction, trying to find ways of squeezing out every last fucking drop of cash I have.
And now some LinkedIn striver shithead will be along shortly to tell me that I just gotta ADAPT BRO, trying to flex on me for his audience of bot followers.
It's no wonder that people on the internet (to the extent that there are any actual people left on the internet) are so hostile. Having to interface with any piece of technology more complicated than an inclined plane is enough to give you heart palpitations. Fuck.
Really honored to stumble with some of the best, thank you all so much.

That's a wrap!
It will take some time for the queue to clear, so hopefully by tomorrow we will have all the data calculated.
Thanks again to @wiglenet and everyone who participated!
Stay tuned for final scoring and the drawing.

Spare a thought to those part time web masters who just found the password to their Ubuntu Xenial box, ran apt-get update and are now face to face with a wall of 404s!

MM-DD-YYYY is wrong.
DD-MM-YYYY is wrong.
Try ordering a spreadsheet by date column with either of those formats and you’ll soon understand why YYYY-MM-DD is the only correct format.
Wake up, people!

Ten weeks before the entropy bug shipped NVK winked at the idea of a retirement attack and suggested dice rolls. His CTO wrote the bug under a pseudonym. Two people warned them. The answer was: "if something was wrong, we'd already know about it by now."
SOMEONE has already found all their foxes, less than 24 hours into the @defcon 34 @rfhackers World Wide War Drive!
That's nuts.
AAAAND WE'RE OFF!
The @defcon 34 @rfhackers World Wide War Drive has begun.
It's not to late to register, but you'd better hurry!

For 19 years, GPS satellites have secretly broadcast a “numbers station” in their public signals. We decoded 12M messages: a 2011 flash where 31 of 32 satellites flipped in hours, “ghost” substrings repeating years apart, and a “TEXT” prefix spreading now. lsc-pagepro.mydigitalpublica…
