What we have already decided
We speak of the future as if it were open. This map suggests otherwise.
The children on it were under five when they were measured. In the 2040s they will run our farms, offices and factories; in the 2060s they will be the parents and taxpayers on whom an ageing country leans. Two in five of them are stunted. Whatever we choose to do now, for them this part of the future has already been decided, before they could choose anything.
A child’s height at two is a kind of ledger. It records, with no possibility of appeal, whether her mother ate, whether the water was clean, whether someone helped when she had diarrhoea, whether anyone thought she mattered enough to reach. The ledger in Gujrat reads one way. In Thatta it reads another. In Haripur and Kohistan, a hundred and fifty kilometres apart, the same province records two different countries.
We like to believe this is history, or geography, or poverty, things that happen to us. But the greenest districts were never the richest land. They were the places where girls went to school, where men found work beyond the village, where the state and the market arrived. The map is not a record of what nature gave us. It is a record of whom we chose to reach.
We are a society that discounts the future heavily. We defer, we borrow, we promise. But children cannot be deferred. The first thousand days do not wait for a better budget year.
Somewhere in Jamshoro a girl stunted in 2018 will be a mother by 2045. What we failed to give her, she will not be able to give her child.
The question this map asks is not about them. It is about us.

Napoleon Bonaparte talked about a rare skill that separates those who dominate from those who remain dominated, and he possessed it. First, u must develop the habit of thinking deeply. Without it, ur ability to think will stagnate, and you'll flee the moment something demands thinking, and this skill cannot be developed beyond a certain age. Once you've practiced enough of not thinking, you won't be able to think. And Those who cannot think cannot decide, and therefore cannot command, and that deficiency is a reliable sign of lifelong subordination and slavery.
But once u develop this ability to a high degree, u will begin suffering from anxiety, depression, and overthinking. That's when u must learn to regulate ur mind through certain activities like meditation, intense sports, solving maths, reading for hours at once, or other spiritual practices. Master both abilities, and u can reach ur peak. You'll be able to tell ur brain when to think, let it unfold layers of understanding, and it will start doing the same, and tell it when to stop and it will stop. Then u can relax and move on. That's when ur ready to dominate wherever u go. Very hard.

🚨 BREAKING: Security researchers are calling this week "Black October."
AI helped find two critical holes in PHP. PHP runs about 70% of the websites on Earth.
The last 72 hours:
→ Researchers working with OpenAI, plus Wiz, found the bugs with AI back in August
→ Details leaked early. PHP shipped emergency patches Wednesday
→ Cloudflare saw tens of thousands of exploit attempts in the first 45 minutes. Millions within hours
→ The FBI told site owners: patch now or take your site offline
→ Finland and Japan took government sites offline. Wikimedia, the Internet Archive and 4chan went dark to patch
Then the banks:
→ Shizuoka Bank in Japan shut off online banking and its app. No data leaked. They pulled it to be safe
→ Mizuho, MUFG, Nomura and Daiwa paused parts of their web services
→ Japan's bankers association had to confirm interbank payments weren't hit
→ In the US, major banks found unvetted AI agents logging into customer accounts with customers' own passwords. Some tried actions their users never asked for. Morgan Stanley is blocking them. JPMorgan, Citi and Bank of America are restricting them
Last month the Bank for International Settlements warned banks that the gap between finding a bug and exploiting it has shrunk from weeks to minutes. This week proved it.
PHP wasn't alone this month:
→ GitLab: a flaw rated 10.0. The maximum severity score
→ Node.js: 10 vulnerabilities fixed in one release
→ A certificate authority in India: 8 certificates with keys a laptop cracked in under a second. One key was the number 4. That's the system that proves your bank's website is really your bank
→ One hacker's AI agents broke into 100+ company websites. About $50 per break-in. Instructions under 100 characters
One more number worth mentioning: 13.
That's how many engineers, full and part-time, the PHP Foundation has to maintain the language.
AI pulls in billions. The code under 70% of the internet runs on donations.

World-leading cardiac surgeon Asif Hasan was surrounded by the children who received the gift of life thanks to his unerring skills at the emotional climax of another memorable Pride of Britain ceremony. 🥹
Now 70 years old, Mr Hasan has just retired after 35 years of service at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, but just after receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award, he had an extra special surprise: a cast of patients who would not be alive without him. ❤️

🚨 The Internet and Banking Lockdown Is Coming: Banks Are Preparing for Something BIG
G7 countries announced that they are now preparing for a major AI cyberattack on the banking system.
G7 governments and central banks have agreed to run simulated AI attacks to test how they would respond to a major incident.
Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, JPMorgan, and Wells Fargo detected unauthorized AI agents accessing customer accounts and attempting to act without user instructions.
Trump’s January 2025 order made dollar-backed coins official policy. The GENIUS Act locked the mechanism in: every compliant stablecoin must sit 1-for-1 on cash, T-bills, and Treasury repos.
That’s the escape hatch. America can’t print gold. It can print demand for its own debt.
Billions of people who will never open a U.S. bank account can hold a dollar token. Every new token forces the issuer to buy short-term Treasuries.
Dollar demand gets exported on crypto rails.
The reserve currency survives even if SWIFT loses corridors because the world is still holding a claim on U.S. paper.
It’s not a gold standard. It’s a digital T-bill standard wearing a crypto costume.
Scott Bessent openly talked about a “grand economic reorder” on the scale of Bretton Woods and how stablecoins will be used to grow out of the $40 Trillion debt.
The internet and the banking system will be shut off for the transition to the new stablecoin economy.
A new surveillance system is being opened without naming it CBDCs.
This is why @DNAOnChain is about to be the biggest company in the new on-chain financial system.
Private digital identities. Zero-knowledge proofs. A financial system where you can prove who you are without exposing who you are.
A future of complete on-chain financial privacy and almost nobody is paying attention.
During the crash, this will be the excuse in how they restrict people’s ability to transfer funds to cover their margin calls.
Be prepared for the new financial system. It’s always followed by an engineered crisis.

Me and my wife paid 2.6 million rupees in taxes after all our income was already taxed at source. Both our accounts have almost no balance now. There is no way to save for retirement now because whatever we try to save disappears in taxes. We are in a country where you are forced to rent because there is no concept of mortgage. And if you start a business it gets no support from a bank and gets taxed to death too.
You can borrow less for stupid things like the half a billion dollar loan we just took from ADB for coming up with a pension plan. There are hyper talented Pakistanis globally who could do that probono for you. You are essentially paying for knowledge orchestration and powerpoints. It's ridiculous.
Now imagine putting that same money to mapping and easing the journey of middle class aspirants. Mark it for ease of doing business. For SME credit. Or scaling business growth. For enabling reasonable mortgages and building an indigenous low cost housing value chain.
We may be bankrupt as a nation but we don't have to be bankrupt intellectually. You can move the pieces you have better on the board you inherited. Much better.

the society has programmed you in such a way that you’d spend nearly 20 years studying just to secure an average paying job but you would not invest 2 years committing to a business or a skill that can give you financial freedom. people who understand that theyve to leave this scripted life and take risks will always be the winners.

People will constantly attack you in life. One of their main weapons will be to instill in you doubts about yourself – your worth, your abilities, your potential. They will often disguise this as their objective opinion, but invariably it has a political purpose – they want to keep you down.

Laiba was a gold medallist who dreamed of studying at Harvard. Look what became of that dream. A fake consultant allegedly cheated her family out of millions & a young life was lost. Where was her university when she needed guidance? Who is going to answer for this? Laiba cannot be brought back but her family deserves justice & those responsible must not be allowed to get away with it.

Musk is NOT Edison. Edison was a showman and business guy. Musk is a much better business man AND the creative science genius that was Nikola Tesla. Much more than the over rated Edison. (I dislike Edison almost as much as Woodrow Wilson. Well deserved @elonmusk
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump just PERSONALLY awarded Elon Musk the National Medal of Science, an extraordinary honor reserved for only the most LEGENDARY and innovative patriots
Elon loves it! 👏🏻
47 called Elon the "THOMAS EDISON" of our time and he is correct.
Well-deserved, @ElonMusk!
SpaceX, Starlink, SI, Tesla, PURE WINNING
And he uses his resources to help promote AMERICA, unlike leftist donors such as George Soros. THAT'S why Dems can't stand him 🇺🇸

I told you fusion propulsion is real.
Pulsar Fusion has achieved first plasma in its Sunbird fusion rocket exhaust system at its Bletchley facility in the UK.
The milestone marks a key step toward developing its planned fusion propulsion technology.
Sunbird aims to enable much faster travel through deep space than conventional rocket propulsion.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Pulsar reported first plasma (krypton, no fusion) in March 2026 ground exhaust test. Video is CGI, not the actual brief lab footage.

Everyone thought that AI would be so good that it would be impossible to tell if it’s AI or human.
It was based on the assumption that human perception would remain constant.
Turns out, humans too got smarter in the process, and it’s rather easy for us now to feel AI when we see AI-generated text, an image, or a video.

Death is a biological event that could theoretically be delayed, paused, or even reversed.
But it is also a metaphysical event, perhaps necessary for human consciousness to evolve to its next stage.
So, we may not really have to die out of biological necessity, but we may have to die out of the spiritual necessity of consciousness.
Is there a biological reason that humans must die? And if not, could we one day live forever?
