I've been interested in what happened to Amelia Earhart since seeing that one Star Trek: Voyager episode in the '90s. This podcast recaps everything we know today about the castaway hypothesis. fab.industries/blog/podcast/…

Two very critical PHP vulnerabilities have forced hundreds of websites, including from several governments, to go offline. They were found with AI, but that isn’t the important part here. Don’t listen to the press and start thinking for yourself. fab.industries/blog/article/…

This idea that AI will kill us all is absolute, unmitigated bullshit. None of these people can even explain how it would happen. At all. And the press just keeps repeating the dumbest claims as if they were facts. fab.industries/blog/podcast/…

Throughout today's hearing, Anthony Fauci repeated the following script 111 times. And yes, his refusal to testify is grounds for contempt.

One of the main guilty acts of Fauci is not the claim that he got the COVID origin wrong at first. It's that he and his Lancet crew fabricated a certainty about COVID's origins they plainly did not possess -- due to entirely self-interested reasons (namely, their careers and reputations would be endangered if COVID had been caused by gain-of-function and other Wuhan research they funded and participated it). They then weaponized that fake, deceitful certainty to label anyone who suggested a lab leak as a racist (which never made sense, since the "wet market" theory was always the more racist one), and then also used that non-existent certainty to bully and coerce media outlets and Big Tech to aggressively censor anyone questioning or dissenting from their proclamation. The complete shutdown of debate, discussion and dissent over some of the this century's most consequential policies was one of the main crimes. That they did this not out of good faith error but crass self-advancement and self-protection made it all the worse.
Sorry but there is no real defense of Fauci. I was someone who gave him a leeway early on, but it has been clear for years that he repeatedly and intentionally misled the public at a time where maintaining the credibility of health officials was critical. One example here:

🚨STOP SCROLLING: Everyone Should Bear Witness To This Savage TAKEDOWN of Dr. Fauci by Senator Josh Hawley. Watch as he DECIMATES Fauci and makes him SQUIRM in his seat. This is how all of our Representatives and Senators in Congress should act. Total MASTERCLASS

WATCH: Dr. Fauci’s Hand is SHAKING as he Declares he WILL NOT answer any questions and will Plead the Fifth. He knows he committed crimes. He is TERRIFIED of being held accountable. Unbelievable.

John never asked anyone to agree with him. He only demanded they think, and in an age that rewards certainty, he made skepticism entertaining. He could dismantle a headline with a raised eyebrow, a dry laugh, and a sentence so sharp it left you wondering why you ever chose to believe it in the first place. Every Thursday and Sunday, with his co-host @adamcurry, felt a little less like listening to a podcast and a little more like pulling up a chair at the smartest, funniest bar in town... Filled with fizzy drinks and Costco wines. The conversations were always gold. He had that rare gift of making cynicism feel hopeful. Because underneath every sarcastic jab was an old-fashioned belief that the truth was worth chasing... even if it took a few detours through complete nonsense. The show's sign-off was always, "In the morning..." ...Now it lands a little differently. Thanks for the laughs, the eye rolls, the odd noises, the media literacy, and the reminder that every story deserves one more question. In the morning, Sir John. RIP JCD

Monopropellant tanks from Ariane rockets are being washed up on Queensland beaches...
Queensland Fire and Rescue crews are continuing to assist partner agencies following the discovery of several potentially hazardous objects around Forrest Beach in North Queensland. Specialist QFR Scientific teams have safely secured a number of the items throughout the weekend and remain on scene continuing their work. A 50-metre exclusion zone is still in place. If you come across any suspicious objects in the area, do not touch them. Move away and call Triple Zero (000) immediately. The nature and origin of the debris are still being investigated.

After months of work, I have just launched the new version of my website. No JavaScript, no embeds, almost the whole theme is made by hand, effects are pure CSS and I've used a bespoke colour theme. fab.industries/blog/article/…
