lets get back to writing shall we? 😮‍💨 “It doesn't pass. A person doesn't know what they've lost until it's gone.” Nare tried to warn Alya, but I don't think Alya truly understood her words until Cihan stood in front of her and told her he was getting married. Because for so long, Alya could push him away, reject him, challenge him, and Cihan would still be there, choosing her. Perhaps that's why she went as far as the wedding hall, expecting him to stop her without ever admitting that she wanted him to. Her pride wouldn't let her say what her heart wanted, and she took Cihan's anger and his words as a challenge, never truly believing he would let her go through with it. But Cihan never imagined, even in his worst nightmares, that Alya would actually sit at that table and marry someone else. He gave her that choice out of anger, never expecting her to take it this far. And now Alya is finally confronting the possibility of losing the man she always believed would be there, while Cihan is preparing to move forward because he believes she has already made her choice. Nare's words hit differently when Alya protests that Cihan was the one who told her to get married. Because telling someone to go doesn't mean you expect them to actually leave (this goes back to “git” in ep 64, but that's a post for another day), and giving someone a choice doesn't mean you won't be hurt by the one they make. But Alya cannot keep holding Cihan responsible for a decision she ultimately made herself. After losing Şahin, she understands that some losses only reveal their true weight once you're forced to live with the absence they leave behind. And now she's trying to make Alya understand that she might not realise what Cihan means to her until she has to face a life without him. Alya never truly had to face the possibility of losing Cihan because, despite everything, he kept choosing her. Now, witnessing this, she's finally beginning to understand what his absence might mean. As Nare reminds her, she put that ring on her finger. And now she has to face the consequences of that choice, even if her heart never truly wanted it.

I've read quite a few opinions lately, and I agree it's hard to analyse Alya when we're barely given her POV. But if Cihan changed after the bloody wedding, why are we analysing Alya as if she's the same woman from the past 2 seasons? Something changed in her too. This is MY interpretation. The writers haven't explained her thought process, so we're connecting the dots ourselves. Thanks for that btw. Now, shall we? First, the pregnancy. Some suggest this baby will bring Alya and Cihan back together. I disagree. Well, partially. A baby shouldn't FIX their relationship. These are 2 people who already love each other. Love was never the problem. What the pregnancy gives Alya, imo, is HOPE. She'd convinced herself they had no future, she told Nare so. Cihan believes the same, cause he thinks she's Enver's wife. Both believe it's over. And suddenly there's a baby. It won't solve anything, but might make Alya question the ending she'd accepted. And to understand why that hope matters, we need to talk about guilt. For 2 seasons, Alya's instinct was to run. But this time she can't convince herself leaving was for the best. She has to face what her decision did to someone she loves. Think about the first words she remembers from Cihan: "I won't forgive you." Not "I don't love you." Now, I know what some will say: she came back! Yes, and Cihan rejected her. But does Alya see that rejection separately from what happened the day before? I doubt it. She knows WHY the man at that door isn't the one she left at the altar. Returning a day later doesn't erase the damage. Whether Cihan was right to reject her is another debate. My point is his rejection might not feel unfair to HER. It might feel deserved. She's carrying survivor's guilt and the belief she broke the man she loves. Which brings me to Enver and the marriage like a protest behaviour, a way to make Cihan fight for her. I could entertain that when she threatened him in the cell. But she didn't marry Enver, yet she's pretending she did. Protest needs an audience and a reaction. Alya created a situation where Cihan has no reason to fight. He thinks she's married. What is she gaining? Certainly not reconciliation. She's building a wall he can't cross. I don't see a woman trying to make Cihan fight for her. I see someone who doesn't believe she deserves to be fought for anymore. And the lie protects her too. If Cihan thinks she's married, he won't come looking, and she won't risk rejection or hurting him again. Self-preservation and self-punishment simultaneously. Contradictory? Sure. But guilt doesn't exactly make people rational. It might also explain why Alya makes Cihan the villain. If he's the cruel man who rejected her, perhaps she didn't destroy a good man who loved her. Perhaps she escaped someone who would've hurt her anyway. Anger at him is easier than admitting she hurt the person she loves. Now, before anyone decides I'm blaming Alya for everything, let's talk about Cihan. Alya left him at the altar. That's the original rupture, and trauma doesn't erase the consequences. But Cihan owns his response too. He turned her away, brought back cold attitude, and let his family's voice drown out his own. He doesn't owe her an apology for feeling betrayed, but he does for how he treated her. And she owes him one for leaving and maintaining the lie. The tragedy? Cihan needs to know Alya will choose him and STAY. Alya needs to believe he can forgive her, but fears the answer might be no. So they keep hurting each other, convinced the other has made their choice. The point is: I don't think Alya is running from Cihan anymore. She's running from what she did to him.

Just a random thought... If Cihan turns out not to be Sadakat's biological son, wouldn't that completely change the dynamics especially when it comes to Deniz? Whether Cihan is Azem's son from another woman or, as some theories suggest, Fidan and Ecmel's son, he's still an Albora. But he's not her Albora. Deniz isn't just her grandson. He's the last living piece of boran, her golden child. So what happens when Sadakat finds out that the man raising boran's son, the man Deniz calls baba, isn't actually her blood? Would she still see Cihan as Deniz's father, or suddenly as someone standing between her and the last piece of boran? Because knowing Sadakat, blood has always mattered, but possession matters even more. And I genuinely wonder whether this secret could turn her against Cihan in a way we've never seen before. Anyway, I'm very curious to see what this revelation would bring out in her.
