The world’s a mess. So here’s a reminder of what you have and ought to remind yourself of what it would look like if you’d move your ass across the street, across the room, and/or across dimension. YOU HAVE YOU.

On October 20, ConEd mechanic Koran Irvine was fatally shot by retired NYPD detective Victor Romero, who claimed the 46-year-old father was swerving into his lane, prompting him to discharge his weapon at Irvine's rear window amid moving traffic on George Washington Bridge - the world's busiest motor vehicle bridge. Romero drove home and returned to work the next day, where NYPD detectives asked him to voluntarily come in for questioning. One week following the tragic incident, a grand jury indicted Romero on second-degree murder charges - an upgrade from a manslaughter charge he previously received. He was granted bail and remains free. Status Coup's @jonfarina documents a rally by Irvine's family and friends in Lower Manhattan following Romero's indictment. Video by @blue_lanes

She crashed her Tesla Model X into a $6.6 million mansion, then blamed self-driving! 😂 Maybe Tesla’s new Roadster rocket thrusters could’ve saved her. At least she picked a crazy spot to park on Billionaires’ Row in Bel-Air!

What the hell is happening? This rise in mediocrity, how did we get here? These people just took the words out of my mouth. And it’s not even the rise in influencer culture and “relatability”, there’s something more sinister going on.

Hasan Piker: “Trans people are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. Muslims are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. It’s not a Guatemalan migrant that made your housing more expensive. It’s your landlord, it’s hedge funds buying out all of these homes and rising up their prices. A transgender person is not the reason your energy costs are skyrocketing. It’s the wars we’re waging, the data centers sucking up the energy needs. This is just the truth”

CALL OF DUTY AND THE WAR ON KOREA On October 23rd, Call of Duty releases Modern Warfare 4, a game that portrays the DPRK as the enemy and is played by millions. Sovereign Media’s Devianni Ebanks breaks down the controversy surrounding the game. Activists and Korean diaspora groups have accused the game of functioning as a weapon of imperialist propaganda designed to dehumanise North Koreans and manufacture consent for war. The campaign argues that Modern Warfare 4 portrays North Koreans as aggressors while erasing the history of US devastation during the Korean War. According to the statement, the US dropped over 600,000 tons of b*mbs on Korea (3.7 times the amount dropped on Japan during the entire Pacific War) and k*lled more than 3 million Koreans. It also cites the No Gun Ri massacre, where US forces k*lled over 600 people, 72% of them women and children. Today, millions of Koreans still live in the shadow of a war that never ended. Divided families. Mandatory conscription for South Korean men. Camptown prostitution, where US soldiers inflict violence on Korean women. In 2025 alone, the US conducted 274 days of war drills in Korea, rehearsing for n*clear strikes, b*mbing civilian targets, and as*assinations of North Korean leadership. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 does more than depict violence; activists say it trains players to inflict it, both in the US and abroad. Families of the Uvalde school sho*ting victims are suing Activision, Meta, and g*n manufacturer Daniel Defence, noting that the sho*ters in Uvalde, Parkland, and Sandy Hook all played Call of Duty and used AR-15s. Activists also accuse the Pentagon of shaping how games and films depict US wars, arguing that Hollywood and Western media have spent decades dehumanising North Koreans. "War in Korea is not a video game … it's happening in real life," the campaign states. "Don't play the US's game. Fight the real war machine." The release comes amid heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula and growing scrutiny of the military-entertainment complex.

If you guys like this tweet and want to see another fun doc…see mine on HBO which did somehow win beat Lance’s excellent SPERMWORLD doc for best broadcast doc at the cinema eye honors 🥰. (I only say that bc he’s the goat and I was shocked!)
I would say having not seen the film yet but loving documentaries that the death of doc filmmaking came when we taught audiences that documentaries only exist as an extension of journalism and not a legitimate branch of the art of moving pictures. The only rule is to document.

Isabel Adon bought into a co-op in the Bronx to build something for her children. Junior Gonzalez did it after serving in the Marines. They say overnight, the city of New York took it all with little to no notice or compensation, labeling their building "distressed" and transferring the deed to a nonprofit. This happened to hundreds of families, nearly all in minority communities. A $60 million settlement has been proposed, but the fight isn't over. Every family deserves the right to build generational wealth without fear of losing it.

The #DWTS TikTok fandom gets on my nerves sometimes, but I’m loving how they’re exposing the Chmerkovskiys, especially Maks. Looking back, it’s insane how he treated his partners and how any of that was allowed🤯

📝 Topic point:Wh__ women lying. TikTok is yet again having tough talks, and this one has ww on the platform hyperventilating because Black people are exposing their toxic behavior. Years ago. I know a young man who lost his job at a major retailer. He worked in Customer service. He lost his job because a ww lied, and said that he hit her after refusing to take back some merchandise. She was the typical, "I lost my receipt", type. The system denied her. Too many returns. She went ballistic. He tried to calm her down. That was his mistake. She called corporate, lying her a## off. They took her side. 🤨 Don't even get me started on their behavior in corporate America.
