You can make the trail incredibly complicated, but every transaction is still public. The hackers used thousands of automated transactions to move stolen funds between wallets, sometimes even sending the money back to wallets they had already used. Yet, Chainalysis still managed to link the Binance hack to an earlier Bitget exploit because funds from both attacks ended up in the same wallets. Sometimes moving money around so much just gives investigators more clues.
Our investigators are observing never-seen-before laundering patterns with the stolen funds from the Binance exploit. Thousands of transactions in a short period suggest that the attackers are using automation to obscure the trail of funds. Rather than simply moving funds onward, they repeatedly circulate them among addresses, often sending funds back to addresses involved earlier in the sequence. AI will make cyberattacks easier to scale. Binance is a reminder that audits and monitoring help, but human and operational failures remain. A reminder: Firelight on Flare does not cover every hack. It makes defined DeFi failures explicit, funded and independently validated onchain.

Wonders do happen. I got my locked Google Play Developer account back. I have a couple of ideas for Android apps. I still love stock Android OS.

Flare has joined the XRP Ledger Foundation’s recommended validator list. Servers following the @XRPLF list now count Flare’s votes on new ledgers and amendments. Operational responsibility for XRPL’s reliability and evolution, and a long-term commitment to the @XRP ecosystem 🤝

Once your Flare Confidential Compute TEE is live, you get an extension ID, and then you want to see instructions, methods, and txs without digging through Systems Explorer tabs. I open-sourced FCC Explorer for that, which is built on top of onchain data fcc-explorer-flare.vercel.ap… 🧑‍💻 Code: github.com/fassko/fcc-explor… 📝 Docs: dev.flare.network/fcc/refere… 🤔 What are you building with FCC?

From observation I don’t think people are thing clearly about inflation and how it benefits or dis benefits them. Nor Fire. Inflation on Flare is 3%. This is low across the space. If you stake or delegate you get that inflation less the infra share of 20%. This means that assuming you are staking or delegating your annual dilution isn’t 3% it is actually the infra share IE 0.6%. (It is in fact less as <100% of tokens are staked or delegated) Infra costs (fiat) money to run, this means that a reasonable amount of that 0.6% probably does hit the market. Price is formed not by esoteric thoughts on long term fundamentals but by marginal buyers and sellers. Whilst FIRE’s long term goal is to completely neutralise all inflation, the first goal is to neutralise the primary source of needed selling generated by the network’s existence that comes from the infra share. This is a much lower number and much more quickly attainable than the full 3% - whilst to reiterate that still remains the goal.

At the end of this week, I'm going to Mumbai for @EFDevcon and again, the question is where to get vegan food. I'm putting together a list maps.app.goo.gl/1mskXc8miPf6… Let me know if there are places to add or I missed. Especially locals. Thanks.

FLR and FXRP are two important building blocks for developers on Flare. A native asset for the network, and a programmable representation of XRP that can be composed across applications. Start building today: dev.flare.network
Meet the two key assets powering the Flare DeFi experience: FLR and FXRP. 🔴 FLR — The Native Asset Powering the Flare network, FLR can be used for FTSO delegation, staking, and participating in DeFi opportunities. ⚡ FXRP — XRP Unlocked for DeFi Through FBridge, XRP can enter the Flare ecosystem as FXRP, opening up new possibilities such as lending, borrowing, and providing liquidity. And with Luminite, you can explore Flare DeFi opportunities from one place, without constantly switching between dApps. #Luminite #Flare #FLR #FXRP #XRP #DeFi

How can XRP access onchain credit through a single XRPL-authorized flow? Join our next Flare Builder Workshop Session: XRP Credit with Flare Smart Accounts. 🗓️ 28 October, 14:00 UTC The session will walk through how an XRPL payment can authorize actions on Flare, with FDC verifying the transaction and the associated Smart Account executing a cross-chain credit flow. Set a reminder and subscribe to the @FlareNetworks YouTube channel for this session and future builder workshops: youtube.com/watch?v=O4roM5-r…

Last week, I worked a lot with Flare Confidential Compute. Of course, to set it up, it requires more steps to deploy the TEE, but oh boy, what doors does it open. I can't wait to tell you more very soon. Basically, now the limit is only your imagination. See you at @EFDevcon 🫡

I used to write tons of PHP. It still runs half of the internet. A nasty exploit was revealed today. If you have any PHP site, upgrade to the latest version.

I have been working on clear signage to clarify what you are doing on Flare Network. It is an open standard based on the ERC-7730 standard.
⚡️Flare transactions are getting much easier to understand at signing time. A large batch of Flare ERC-7730 clear-signing descriptors has now been merged into Ethereum’s clear-signing registry, covering things like WFLR delegation, reward claims, FXRP/FAssets, USDT0 and more. Instead of asking users to blindly sign contract calldata, compatible wallets can show what the transaction is actually doing and the parameters that matter. Small UX improvement on the surface. Pretty meaningful security improvement underneath.

A few possibilities: - Query FTSO feeds and FDC attestations directly from an agent - Pull contract state, events and balances without writing custom plumbing - Let coding agents inspect Flare contracts and generate transactions against them - Build agent workflows around FAssets, staking and Smart Accounts - Give internal dev tools one standard interface into the Flare stack What would you add?
I'm thinking out loud. 🤔 Flare MCP server (not docs): What would you use it for?

Flare gives developers built-in access to two things applications usually have to source elsewhere: prices and proofs of external events. FTSO handles decentralized price data, while FDC verifies supported events outside Flare, including activity on other chains. Flare Confidential Compute extends this further. Sensitive or heavy logic can run in hardware-secured environments and return a result that contracts can verify onchain. That means a developer can start from verified data, run logic that does not belong in public execution, and use the result inside an application without stitching together a separate oracle, verification and confidential compute stack. XRPFi is already one example of what this architecture enables. Data first. Compute next. Then the applications neither could support alone.

Data. Stays private, but is actionable. Powered by Flare.
Hex Trust, the custodian with $5B in assets under custody, proves its USDX stablecoin reserves with Flare Confidential Compute on Songbird. Only a signed result showing whether USDX is backed 1:1 or better goes onchain. @FlareNetworks

A lot of people mistakenly think that Flare is only a network for XRP DeFi. Yes Flare is the premier chain for XRPFi but this is due primarily to our data capabilities which make FAssets both possible and secure. Flare is about decentralized data first. This is why we built Oracles and Confidential Compute. You will shortly see Flare make some advances in its data utility serving the blockchain space far more broadly.

Data. Compute. Capital. Building on Flare means combining the most powerful primitives to enable onchain solutions: dev.flare.network/
Full data. Full compute. So capital can move without a new bridge each time. That’s the Flare stack. More FAssets on the path FXRP already proved, and compute institutions can actually sit with. Full keynote from @wrappedxyz ➡️youtube.com/watch?v=QCk3wB77…

I thought Flare × KWeather was just another weather oracle partnership. Then I started digging into Weather Fi, Google, Munich Re, FCC and Hugo’s vision for compute markets. What if weather is just the first example of something much bigger? 👇
