I have absolutely no idea why my entire timeline is not talking about this right now. Jeffrey Donaldson was the most powerful politician in Northern Ireland. He spent decades lecturing the entire country on moral standards and conservative values. Today he was locked up for 15 years for horrific child sex offences! 🧵

After yesterday’s post about the Russell Brand trial, my inbox was flooded with people claiming this is all just a coordinated media conspiracy. Well, I hope those same people actually read what came out of Southwark Crown Court today, because Brand took the witness stand and completely shredded his own defense. Under cross-examination, he openly admitted to "inconsistencies" in his evidence, awkwardly asking the prosecution for forgiveness. Even more damning, his own barrister asked him if a single friend or colleague from twenty-five years in showbusiness was willing to stand up in that courtroom and speak for his character. His answer was no. Not a single person would touch him with a barge pole. Think about what that actually means. Decades surrounded by entourages, agents, and industry friends, and not one human being is willing to take an oath on his behalf. Then look at how he described women to the jury today. He admitted saving a complainant’s name in his phone labeled with a degrading slur and a sexual act. When asked if a woman expressed reluctance to an encounter, he casually dismissed her hesitation as "coquettishness and coyness." This is not a misunderstood free-thinker being silenced for his politics. This is an arrogant narcissist who used celebrity status to treat women like disposable commodities, and is now watching his carefully rehearsed narrative crumble under basic legal scrutiny. Stop falling for the staged internet guru act. The admissions coming out of his own mouth in that courtroom tell you everything you need to know.

I genuinely cannot understand how Westminster is ignoring the total farce unfolding inside Downing Street over North Sea oil today. Labour spent years lecturing the entire world on green virtue, but John Healey just quietly baked £500 million of tax receipts into his Budget from an oilfield that hasn't even been legally approved yet. Now his own MPs are threatening open civil war. Here is the dirty secret Whitehall wants buried 🧵

It gets even worse when you look at Downing Street’s actual defense. Government insiders are briefing that approving the oilfield will not breach British climate targets because most of the crude will be exported and burned overseas. Think about the sheer cynicism of that logic for ten seconds. The official government position is that pollution does not count against their virtue as long as another country burns the fuel and the Treasury pockets the revenue.

The hypocrisy is off the charts. Andy Burnham and John Healey are privately begging for fossil fuel cash because their economic growth figures are completely flatlining. If Fahnbulleh blocks the project, the Treasury’s Budget math collapses. If she approves it, her own backbenches explode in mutiny. Labour didn't build a coherent energy strategy. They built a circular firing squad.

Horrible.
👼2.5 years old. She didn’t make it to the shelter. Russia (Putin) killed another child in Odesa. Born in Odesa on June 23, 2023. A long-awaited child. She had just started kindergarten and loved drawing and putting together puzzles. On the night of April 6, 2026, a Russian drone hit a residential building in Odesa. Anna was killed along with her mother Daria. They didn’t manage to reach the shelter in time. This is not “collateral damage.” This is the deliberate killing of children. Eternal memory to Anechka.

President Zelenskyy literally had to intervene on UK Budget morning to tell Chancellor John Healey: "My advice to John is don't delay." Think about how completely embarrassing that is for Britain. A wartime president fighting for European survival on the front line has to publicly plead with the British government not to postpone funding its own armed forces. Britain used to lead European defense. Now a country at war has to publicly shame Downing Street into basic readiness while the Treasury hides behind spreadsheets. Painful weakness.

I am sorry to be the one who has to talk about this, but mainstream broadcasters are being remarkably quiet about what is actually coming out of Southwark Crown Court this week. The Russell Brand trial has entered its second week, and the evidence being read to the jury exposes an entire media establishment that looked the other way for decades. Here is the reality behind the courtroom statements 🧵

Jurors are hearing testimony of women being pursued, cornered in party bathrooms, and subjected to alleged sexual assaults while members of an entourage stood by and did nothing. Brand’s defense in his police statements is that he was simply leading an openly promiscuous lifestyle that was later reframed. Think about what was actually taking place during those peak years in the 2000s: major television networks and radio stations knew exactly how he operated, turned his behavior into profitable prime-time ratings, and laughed off rampant abuse as cheeky celebrity banter.

The cowardice of the British entertainment industry is breathtaking. Broadcasters made millions building him into an untouchable household name, handing him awards and television specials while young staff were left to deal with the fallout behind closed doors. Now that six women are giving harrowing evidence in a criminal court, the executives who signed the production checks are pretending they were completely blind to the culture they bankrolled. Absolute institutional rot.

I just watched John Healey promise the country "breathing space" in today’s Budget, and the details are an absolute insult to the public. Downing Street is running a massive PR victory lap this morning because they are saving households an average of £45 a year on gas standing charges. That works out to roughly 86 pence a week... Here is what they are deliberately hiding behind the headlines 🧵

How is Healey funding this entire package? By slapping fresh punitive taxes on British banks. Banks never absorb corporate taxes out of goodwill. They pass those costs directly down to ordinary customers through higher mortgage interest rates, pricier loans, and lower savings yields. The government is handing households £45 in gas relief with one hand, while ensuring their mortgage payments jump by hundreds with the other.

Watching this from the outside, British economic management has become total pantomime. National debt has crossed £3 trillion, government borrowing costs are hovering near twenty-year highs, and frozen tax thresholds are quietly bleeding working families dry. Offering struggling households 86 pence a week and calling it "breathing space" isn't serious leadership. It is an insult to people's intelligence.

A mother was sentenced to 17 years in a russian prison. Her son got 19. Their 61-year-old friend got 19. Their alleged crime? Being Ukrainian on occupied Ukrainian land. Valentyna and Andriy Myronenko and Serhiy Smykalov were seized in occupied Berdiansk in February 2025. They were reportedly held incommunicado for two weeks before being charged. Then came 19 months of near-total silence — until their sentences were announced. The occupation court has not even disclosed the judge’s identity or whether hearings took place. No publicly available evidence substantiates the alleged sabotage plot. This is how russia turns occupied Ukrainian territory into a prison — and resistance into a pretext for decades behind bars. #FreeUkrainianPOWs

The modern Western state is ruthlessly efficient at hunting down ordinary taxpayers for pennies, but acts completely helpless when it comes to locking up criminals or securing its own borders. It hasn't lost its authority. It just turned all of it against the people who actually follow the rules.

The Royal Navy currently has five anti-submarine frigates available to patrol the entire North Atlantic. Five! While Russian spy vessels spend months mapping the underwater pipelines and fiber-optic cables that keep British heating and internet running, a parliamentary report just admitted the UK cannot even operate submarines under Arctic ice right now. This is not a theoretical warning. The head of the British Army is telling troops to get ready for war, and MI5 openly calls Russia the country's primary threat. Yet faced with that reality, Andy Burnham and John Healey have confirmed that next week’s Budget will completely skip the military, kicking the 3% defense target into late next year to avoid making hard spending choices. The hypocrisy is unreal. John Healey literally resigned from Keir Starmer’s government claiming that stalling on defense spending was making Britain unsafe. Now Healey is Chancellor, holding the purse strings himself, and his first move is doing the exact same thing. Look at what Ukraine did with a fraction of these resources. With no real navy, Ukrainian forces built naval drones and took out a third of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet because they treated war like an existential reality. Meanwhile, Whitehall acts like deterrence is a luxury subscription you can cancel when the budget is tight. If Britain refuses to give Ukraine what it needs to defeat Russia over there, and refuses to fund its own navy at home, Putin’s submarines will keep pushing until something critical snaps.

I wonder what would happen if a group of right-wing radicals torched a 140-year-old city hall in France. We would have emergency European summits, round-the-clock television panels, and terror alerts across the continent for weeks. When violent far-left anarchists burn down historic public buildings, broadcasters label them an "alternative community" and quietly look away. The institutional blind spot in European media is staggering.

Why is nobody in Britain talking about the Irish Prime Minister openly reminding Sinn Féin on live TV that their movement collaborated with Adolf Hitler just to spite the UK? Taoiseach Micheál Martin just destroyed Sinn Féin's pious lectures on neutrality in sixty seconds. Here is the reality every British citizen needs to know 🧵

Here is the dirty secret behind Ireland's "neutrality" that British taxpayers actually pay for. Ireland does not have a single fighter jet. When Russian nuclear bombers probe Irish airspace, who scrambles the planes to protect them? The British Royal Air Force. When Russian spy ships lurk over the transatlantic internet cables off the Irish coast, who sends the warships? The British Royal Navy.

And what is Sinn Féin fighting for right now? They are demanding a referendum to keep an old rule that literally gives Vladimir Putin a veto at the UN over whether Irish troops can deploy abroad. Think about how absurd that is. Sinn Féin expects British taxpayers to fund their air defense for free, while defending Russia’s veto power over their foreign policy. That is not neutrality. It is complete hypocrisy subsidized by the British public.
