I loved Lauren Groff’s new book The Vaster Wilds. Her acknowledgement to her sister, Sarah True, almost brought me to tears. She “who has spent decades pushing her body to the limits of human ability…in the process, has made her soul radiant.”

Two exceptional swimmers in our NIL program. I was a nervous wreck they would cut themselves! I didn’t want to go into hiding from @IURayLooze

I wish I could say I'm surprised by the lack of sympathy--and outright anger--directed at Brittney Griner. She committed a minor crime and is in a Russian penal colony. But because she's not White or male or straight, lots of people don't care or are happy. Sad.

To celebrate my 55th year, I decided to take on my hardest fitness challenge to date: 5 strict chin ups in a row and 5 strict pull-ups in a row.

And then last week, I took a day off of deadlifts etc. for a scheduling issue. The next day I nailed my 5 pull ups. I was so happy and pleased that I stayed the course. How long did it take? I started this journey at the beginning of the pandemic.

I don’t know what adventures and challenges I have ahead but this was a good one. Especially grateful to strength coach @tommorris32 and nutritionist @brittneybearden for teaching me the right lessons years ago! #noeasyway
