Grateful and humbled to announce that I am one of the most powerful humans in the world
Defeating traffic is the ultimate boss battle. Even the most powerful humans in the world cannot defeat traffic.

Wow, how could I ever think running my own DNS server would be a good idea. Silently missed all emails for several weeks. Spent an hour investigating an obscure bind error and 30 minutes to ditch it and configure DNS using my provider.

Three days in I notice the emails I receive aren't that great. Considering switching back to the broken DNS solution.

Just finished The Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Really like the format of putting the learnings in a story - paired with actionable advice. goodreads.com/book/show/2134…
Wat was published 10 years ago today. It's been watched a few million times, but still the world is more NaNful today than it was in 2012. Condolences. nitter.cf/garybernhardt/status/1…
My "Wat" lightning talk is now up (free) on destroyallsoftware.com. Appreciate the absurdity of Ruby & JavaScript. destroyallsoftware.com/talks…

A common misconception: "if someone cannot handle the pressure of live coding, they won't be able to handle the pressure of the job (e.g. oncall)" FALSE. On the job, you have all the context and are not being judged. People who struggle with live coding usually do fine here.

Great to see the #FOSSASIA team and former speakers connecting around the world despite challenges. Congratulations @maik_aussendorf for becoming a member of the German #Bundestag! Excited to see more #OpenSource #FOSS contributors in parliaments.

Germany and Austria lockdowns making the headlines on @ChannelNewsAsia today - only three weeks after Germany was presented as a role model how to live with COVID. Scratching my head.
